Great little hotel right on the Rhine. Lots of design touches without coming across as trying too hard. Rooms vary. I had a river view single. Very small, but nice views of the river. Will plan to book a superior room next time to get more space and also find some Vitra furniture in the room. The restaurant is excellent...

Stayed at Krafft Basel 3 nights for work. I had a river view room which was wonderful as the room was fairly small (no closet) but the view was great! It is a historic hotel so the room did not have individual air conditioning but I was able to open the window and get a breeze off the river. If...

Stayed here for 1 night. Good, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. Different than standard hotel room which makes it nice to stay in. Ensuite was really nicely decorated and spotless. Makes a change having a very easy user friendly shower. My room had great view of river. Only criticism is the floor boards are very...

This is still one of the best hotels to stay in Basel . Sure , the floors creak , the bath towels are small and there is no ironing board , but given the awesome views and the old world charm of the place it is a must . If you are lucky enough to have a riverside view you...

When I arrived at this hotel, my first reaction was "oh boy, another old, small European hotel" but I was instantly surprised when I got past the check-in, looked at the restaurant and then got to my room. I literally had the smallest room in the hotel and they tried to move me to a bigger room but I was...

I've been in this hotel for a working week in Basel and I would really recommend it. The hotel is located along the river, next to the central Basel bridge. In addition to the central position, it is also comfortable because many trams pass by. The rooms are very new, there are rooms in the main building and in the...

One of the old hotels on the river with updated rooms Staying ''river side' is a must because of the street noise on the north side of the hotel. However, also choose river side for the great views. I stayed on the 4th floor room 6, which is a junior suite. It is a corner room (with a nice patio...

When you arrive from the north, you must cross the busy Greifengasse. Trams, busses and lots of pedestrians. A soon as you have crossed, things get a lot easier. Park your car in front of the hotel. Friendly staff give you a route to a nearby garage, 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a terminal that gives...

I have been a regular business visitor to Basel over the last few years, and have stayed in many hotels, and my latest adventure brought me to the Hotel Krafft. Number one positive is location, you are right on the Rhine, next to the main bridge, everything in central Basel is very close by, plus you have tram and bus...

We stayed at Krafft for one night, we stayed in the new building whereas my parents in law stayed in the main building. We didn't have any Rhein view in the new building, it is nicely decorated (with items of vintage design) and little touch such as a nice teapot and choice of tea is greatly appreciated. Despite bars and...
