The room I had was not large but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, just a shame that they do not serve evening meals. Having said that, there are plenty of Restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful - this is a nice hotel if you want a change from the Holiday Inn types.

Basel is EXPENSIVE and the value of this family run hotel including Breakfast made all the difference to us. From the welcome of the reception staff and Hotel Dog ( cuddles every morning!) to the attention to detail from house keeping we were very pleased at out choice. Opposite the Train station with triple glazing to road side rooms and...

As always, it was a real pleasure to stay at the Gaia. The facilities (including the recently-opened Spa) are ideal, and the service was, as ever, impeccable. Furthermore, with such a great location opposite the railway station, it is difficult for me to ever choose any other hotel in Basel for my business and leisure trips.

I arrived at this hotel feeling very poorly and after 24 hours in one of their single rooms, left feeling fully recovered. Three reasons: first, great staff; second, very comfortable rooms (very impressed by such a comfortable king single bed and a relatively spacious room for one person); third, the free mini-bar with a nice choice of bio / organic...

Whilst the room was compact it was clean and quiet. It was very handy to the main train station and very convenient to the old town either a 10 min walk or just hop on the trams just down the road from the hotel. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfasts were...

Excellent location just by the main train station. It was great to be able to leave the luggage at the hotel and pick it up minutes before leaving on the train. With a relatively busy street (with trams) between my room and the station, I was concerned about noise. As it happens the hotel is perfectly soundproofed and I ended...

This hotel deserves to be a 5 star. It is immaculate, tastefully decorated, staff are wonderful, and it is in the perfect location. The free travel pass is an additional bonus. We stayed here as a New Year break and will certainly be returning in the near future.

Every day I looked forward to the delightful breakfast in the antique room, with lots of healthy options like gluten-free bread and 3 different types of butter: organic, biodynamic and sheep's. It's a family-owned hotel and they are there most of the time, and the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm keen on many aspects of...

We were very satisfied with staying there. First of all 2 mins away from the train station. (Perfect location! also great access to the airport by bus from there.) The room was comfortable and very clean. Furthermore, the breakfast was awesome. The staffs were also friendly and kind. We would like to stay there again! Definitely we recommend this hotel!

When you enter a very central located GAIA Hotel, you immediately feel the positive energy the hotel staff gives you. You arrive at a tastefully decorated lobby. Art works are everywere. I stayed at 3th floor and did not use the elevator just to admire the beautiful artwork on the stair walls. Rooms are comfortable and provide everything necessary. And...
