I have been at Birsighof hotel for business in October. The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the city centre and train station but still in a quiet street. Rooms are nice and clean, with all comfort, free wifi included. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is really kind. Next time in Basel I would book again...

This is a small, quiet, well-appointed family-run hotel where the service is warm and welcoming. I noticed many of the people staying there were return guests, and very quickly we knew why--if you prefer a home-away-from-home atmosphere, you will appreciate Hotel Birsighof. In addition, its location makes it easy to get to Banhoff SBB or one of the tram stops,...

I was booked at this hotel by my corporate travel group. The hotel is perfectly located near to many restaurants, the market place, and the train station. It is located on a quiet street that provides some respite from the bustling streets nearby. The staff, including the innkeepers, were extremely nice and very helpful. Breakfast served each morning is very...

We spent 3 nights here and loved every minute of it. It is located just far enough away from the Old City that it is very quiet and peaceful and yet just a 5 minute walk from every kind of restaurant, store, cafe and people watching you could want. The staff were so very kind and truly cared about making...

Stayed 4 nights on business in October 2013 My room was a good size and modern. Wifi worked perfectly. Breakfast was really great everything felt so clean The reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because I was staying on the first floor and it was quite noisy (people in the corridors, guest walking in the room above,...

A small quiet hotel, close to railway station, with excellent service and beautiful breakfast. We arrived late at night, even later than expected, and were a little concerned as we knew reception would be closed. However all was as had been explained. The door code worked, the key left for us, and our room was quiet, and hopefully we didn't...

We stayed just one night in this hotel but found it very comfortable and (after a little trouble finding it in the first place), well located for the town centre and railway station. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, even being able to provide us with the loan of a needle and thread. The bed in the double room...

I have stayed here a few times and find the owners very friendly. Rooms are small but adequate. The location is ideal for Barfussplatz and trams to most parts of the city. During the summer it is also nice to sit in the courtyard and enjoy your breakfast of a morning too.

We used the hotel for a quick stop after arriving at the airport. The hotel was in a nice quiet area and was beautifully appointed. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The highlight of the stay was the delicious breakfast in their beautiful garden (The weather helped).

Once I'd struggled to find this hotel, I found it a very friendly place, with staff who tried to be helpful, and it was in a quiet street. The rooms were fine, although the lighting could have been better, and there was no issue with noise. Basel proved to be a much more interesting place than I had expected, and...
