We didn't even stay the night. My husband and I were in town for a conference and this hotel was listed as one of the hotels associated with the conference. It was awful - worse than my freshman dorm room. Extremely tiny with very, very tired, cheap bed and desk. Supposedly a king sized bed, which the wood on the... More

Basic comfortable rooms, large clean bathroom. Not much choice for breakfast but was adequate. The breakfast area was part of the bar, shared with the public. Near the tram stops. Helpful staff on reception although the left luggage arrangement was a little chaotic.

We don't know anything about this hotel, but we did eat her for supper one night. Delicious!!! Try to local Swiss food here! It is not fancy but quite comfortable and casual. Lots of local people seemed to be eating here.

We stayed in the hotel 1 night during ArtBasel. Location is excellent for that purpose. Room was small but in the excellent condition both in terms of the cleanness and the furniture. Bathroom was also great, everything looked as if if had been set recently. Breakfast buffet was additional nice surprise- variety of pastries, cold cuts, yoghurts, fresh fruits, etc.... More

Starting with the good points... + The staff were nice. + The location is decent. It's a five minute walk to the river and there are some bars and restaurants nearby. + I got a great deal on my stay. It was a bargain by Swiss prices. + Good, free wifi. But... - Reception said the lift doesn't go to... More

It did not take long in tram number 2 from Basel SBB railway station to reach Wettsteinplatz, before a ten minute walk to the hotel. Checkin was done quickly, with a smile. When I was unable to hook up to wifi, assistance was forthcoming willingly. The single bed room was small, but comfortable. The bathroom had recently been renovated, but... More

Nothing fancy but a good basic hotel in a very convenient area. I arrived early and although my room wasn't ready they gave me the key so I could store my luggage in the room. I was very thankful for that but it was a little weird entering a soiled room. Staff super friendly and helpful, rooms clean, basic but... More

Dropped in here with my friend as it was just across the road from our hotel and were dying for some fresh Spargel and it was very clearly on their menu! Interior was a bit forbidding with old fashioned seating arrangements and lots of big tables but what impressed me was that apart from us and an American couple, we... More

Granted I was there during Basel's busiest time of the year, the Baselworld. But it is no excuse for unfriendly staffs who spoke very little English as well. The menu was crafted specifically to cater to international travelers (read: standard grilled meat, fries and salad), with international price too. Can't blame them to take advantage of the moment. I ordered... More
