Food was excellent and served very hot! At last we have found a chef who can really cook a steak to order, in my case a rib-eye rare! There is a very attentive lady behing the bar, who looks after each customer without preference, even though some of them are clearly regulars. We were so impressed we decided to go...

The Tradesmans Arms is a very pretty pub from the outside but once you get in...Oh, what a disappointment! It was cold in temperature and cold in ambience. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were looking forward to the meals we ordered! My husband'sFish Pie was so hot, it burnt the roof of his mouth (microwaved? ) my...

We are so lucky to live near the Tradesman's Arms, we can eat whenever we want. Lovely home cooked food, liked especially the fish pie. Friendly and helpful staff, good varied menu, what's not to like.

We have just returned from a short break in Devon. Having previously eaten at The Tradesman's Arms we decided to make a return visit and we were not disappointed - so much so that we decided to eat there two nights in a row. The meals were delicious (compliments to the chef) and a special thank you to the manager...

After a very pleasant circular walk via Torcross, along the beach to Beesands and then over the hill back to Stokenham we needed a nice lunch and we certainly got it! Beautifully cooked fillet of hake with mussel bisque, and fresh vegetables, and a perfect pint to go with it.

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Tradesman's Arms and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The B&B room and breakfast were very good and every member of staff we met could not have been more friendly and helpful. The bonus we were not expecting was the high quality of food served by the excellent kitchen. The chef...

A very small public house in a very small village in Devon. It doesn't get much more out of the way than here but it is so very worth the effort. It is so picturesque its almost a cliche. The building is ancient, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food they serve is good pub food. They are...

Thus is a wonderful inn, Sunday lunch is fabulous - it's looked great and tasted even better. The beer from Salcombe Brewery was really tasty. The atmosphere is really nice. We will go back for an evening meal as the menu though small sounds very inviting.

We have eaten at the Tradesman a few times Lunch time which is the best time to eat there. But Evening we are not sure at all. We tried to book a table for 5 of us and we asked a staff member how much time in advance you need to book. I was told the day before so when...

Stayed for one night, room was small, cold and not very clean, especially the bathroom. Since our booking clearly stated a large room ( higher tariff than a standard room) I enquired about this, but while staff confirmed they indeed had bigger rooms, no explanation or apologies were given. Dinner was truly excellent, would definitely come back for a meal...

“Views from the front would be lovely.”

“Best rooms are the Thatch Room, The Village Green both at the front of the pub. The Garden Room is fine and situated at the back of the pub with a small area of private garden. Room 1 was the smallest and the view from the window was overlooking the kitchen roof and did get some ventilator and other kitchen noise, but this was not evident when we wanted to sleep.”

“Go for the big room, it is an extra £5 or £10 I think but it is worth every penny. Make sure you order the fish and chips, you wont be disappointed”
