Beds are comfortable. Good placement to visit city center and good conexion to bus and train station by local buses. Nice receptionists. Served hot chocolates and capuccinos are tasty. A bit cold during the night.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Its staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is ideal because it's within walking distance of many of the historic sights. Although the internet is not always reliable within the room, everything else is great! I will be returning there soon, for sure.

We stayed there 3 nights in December 2014. We travelled by train, so we took Minimetro to get to the historic centre (the Pincetto stop). Please note that you don’t need to go to the main building of the train station and outside to the street. Just go further along Platform 1 to the left, as you stand facing the...

Hotel Iris is in a great location with the escalator (Scala mobili) right out the back to take you up to the old town on the hill. The building is from 1880 and is a classic. Unfortunately as happens with classic old buildings converted into hotels, there are some rooms which don't work. Room 18 is one of those. Close...

We liked the Iris Hotel. The location right near the bottom of the escalator to the Old Town was perfect. The five minute walk to the bus station for our day trips to Gubbio and the Perugina Chocolate Factory (both are excellent choices for day trips) was also great. All three of the desk clerks we dealt with over four...

We stayed here for four nights. We arrived by train and took the local bus to the bus station where we got off and walked five minutes to the hotel. The building dates back to the 17th century. The room we stayed in had a beautiful painted, original ceiling. The rooms were bright and very clean. The breakfast was an...

this hotel is a faded once majestic residence. It makes no pretensions about being other than its current star rating, however it provides clean accommodation in the centre of perugia and is close to all major sights and bus station. A cheap taxi ride will get you to the airport or train. The food in the inclusive european breakfast is...

I got a very good deal on this hotel through a website specialising in hostels. This, and some of the reviews on tripadvisor, meant that my expectations were pretty low and I was expecting something quite grim. I was therefore amazed to discover Iris is a beautiful, historic building. The phrase 'faded glory' is used on this website. In fact,...

This is a good hotel that has an air of "faded glory" about it. While the rooms are comfortable, and the price is more than reasonable, there is still a feeling of shabby chic about the place. the location is good, right at the bottom of the city of Perugia.

Lovely old building. I (middle-aged, single woman) stayed here four nights and had no problem with noise. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is close to the medieval city center and the bus depo. Perugia is a great place to stay while exploring other towns in the area. I visited in January - beautiful area in winter.
