We were looking for a truly unique experience so we booked three nights in the Fienile. Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. Our host Andreas was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was among the best we have had in Italy. We also had dinner on the last night and wished we could have done it again....

Beautiful old building set in beautiful large grounds with a beautiful pool area - a bit faded around the edges but the better for that - one of the nicest proprietors I've ever met very generous and easy. Large veranda to relax in and the dogs were great fun too - Very relaxing

How perfect was this place to stay. A wonderful relaxing place to be with a friendly and helpful owner, Andreas, happy friendly dogs, a blissful pool and enormous rooms with comfortable beds. All set in gorgeous green scenery and opportunities to ride horses too. So reasonable and peaceful it was hard to leave.

This villa is really nice and perfect if you want to relax. There are lots of horses available to ride, and a little friendly dog, named Stella (which means star), that will greet you and bring you around the beautiful park. The best part is sleeping there, because it's very quite!! I had great time, and it was not to...

This hotel reminds me of a gracious old country villa which the family is in the process of renovating and updating and you are their weekend guest. There is a charming shabbiness in some of the spaces that reminds you of its former elegance, as well as its potential. There is...

After the rat race of rome and sight seeing in the big cities, I found this place by mistake and what a wonderful mistake it turned out to be. Was planning to go to Assisi but ended up here instead. A beautiful big rambling country villa with so much charm and lovely surprises. The restaurant was some of the best...

After dealing with over a weeks worth of hotel staff the seemed to hate their life (maybe its a cultural thing) we finally find this hotel!! The hospitality of Fabio and Francesca was unsurpassed and our every whim was accommodated. It was 5pm and we decide to ask about horseback riding- by 5:30 we are being transferred to an active...

During a recent family trip, we had initially planned to stay in Rome for 5 days but decided to leave early to enjoy some of the countryside. My cousin found Poggiolo on the Internet and we were picked up by the owner at the train station for transportation to the villa. We had a wonderful time and the owner and...

“If climbing stairs is a problem, make sure you ask for a ground level room, since there is no elevator. Most rooms have their own bathroom...but not necessarily ensuite. If that's important to you, make sure you specify.”
