Having stayed here previously we decided to return to La Rocca. Once again a warm and friendly reception from all. This time we traveled by car and this hotel has easily accessible parking - something which is quite problematic in Assisi. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and spacious. Most places in Assisi are easily accessible from the hotel even...

We were on a walking pilgrimage and arrived in Assisi from Valfabricca about 12 miles away. We were tired and found that the hotel was up in the northeast corner of Assisi. Figuring that tourists would not find this hotel tucked in back streets of Assisi we looked forwards to quiet. Unfortunately it was within a week of the Feast...

we stayed at this property for two nights on a recent Catholic pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi. The hotel was comfortable with minimal extras so the Two star rating was appropriate. Our room was average size with the bathroom having the shower and toilet behind the same curtain. That took a little getting used to. The room furniture was inexpensive...

I didn't stay here but I have my lunch here in July! Nice view, nice service, tasty food, comparatively big portion when compare with other restaurants in Italy! What's more, they provide English menu which is rare in Italy~~~~~ All dishes are fresh! My best meal in Italy! Greatest experience ever!!!

Enjoyed 5 nights here with a literary group. The situation is excellent for exploring this beautiful town, hidden a little from the main thouroughfare. My room was comfortable with old furniture - the wardrobe door was a bit of a challenge! - the bathroom - a wet room - very small but with a good shower & towels changed daily.Rather dark...

Overnight stay at this charming hotel in beautiful setting and surroundings. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean and fresh and equipped with air con, can't fault the place to be honest. When we booked we were told no wifi available but it was and worked very efficiently throughout the hotel. The rooftop restaurant terrace is a...

A basic room for a basic price. The rooms were small but comfortably appointed and the bathrooms had all the required amenities and functioned properly. The room locks, on the other hand, never seemed to work at all. We had to change keys twice and each time we entered the room we had to fiddle with the key at least...

We received a cool and confused welcome when we arrived ("You're staying one night? Oh, 3 nights. One room? Oh, two rooms") despite our reservations, and the staff never seemed to put in much of an effort beyond that. The rooms were OK, but one of our rooms wasn't cleaned during the day and the bathroom linens were old and...

We stayed for two nights, and truthfully would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't rained the second day. That said, we found the service to be polite but indifferent. For example, the water was. I nicely hot the first night, but when we tried to take a shower on the second night, the water ran lukewarm though we ran...

We stayed for one night and thought we got great value in this family run hotel. It was under 100eu for room and half pension for two and the food was very nicely prepared. This hotel has parking nearby (across the road, just outside the city wall) and is close to the Rocco Maggiore (the local medieval castle) by an...

“Our room was backing onto a little courtyard that was connected to the kitchen. It was quite noisy at mealtimes but not when we were sleeping. The balcony next door was adjoining ours and the people were smoking on it so we had to keep our window closed if they were smoking.”
