For a short trip this hotel is definitely a good choice. The hotel staff is very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. The football table in the restaurant at the ground floor could be very loud at night. The shower in the bathroom is also very small but quite acceptable for a short trip to Assisi!

I'll go along with the other reviewers and call the hotel charming. It is built directly into the ancient walls of Assisi. The hotel wasn't horrible, but it would not be my first choice in the Assisi area. (I was with a high school group of 80+ people and had no choice in the matter.) The key situation is a... More

This is an old hotel it seems--what doesn't seem old in Assisi? I can complain a bit about having 3 single beds in our room, being on a hall with one other room, the difficulties if one were wheelchair bound, the shower being on the small side, and extreme smallness of the elevator (2 Americans, 4 Italians). However, in looking... More

We were worried after reading several reviews...we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful, they recommended an excellent restaurant, allowed us access to the balcony with a view while we waited out a rainstorm, and always were friendly and accessible. The rooms are not large, but we are use to this size room in European hotels. Our double had... More

Clean. Beds took up most of room, no place for luggage. Shower was too small to bend down at all. Would not want to stay more than one night. We were with a group, and dinner was served in adjacent hotel. Bland, average food. Worst meal we had in Italy.

We stayed one night in Assisi during our Trafalgar tour of Europe. Our leader had emphasised the comparative basic nature of Assisi accommodation so we were prepared. Our room, #201 was compact as was the bathroom. There was air-con that functioned, others said theirs didn't. The television had no English channels, which was the first time we encountered this. The... More

Setting was beautiful-this hotel is set in the wall of the old city-so much potential. Good location. We arrived late one afternoon and were disgusted with the state of the downstairs bathrooms-filthy, no toilet paper; looked like they hadn't been cleaned for ages. One of the toilets was clogged up with faeces and obviously wouldn't flush. The next day they... More

We stayed here on a tour with 22 high school teens. The hotel was very clean and accommodating. Rooms were adequate and bathrooms were clean and updated. Some of the single rooms were very tiny, but a double that we got was actually quite large. There were TV's in the rooms and WIFI throughout the hotel. WIFI reception was in... More

We stayed at this hotel during a Trafalgar tour and it was quaint and adequate. It is beautifully situated at the start of this beautiful city and you can explore on foot from this hotel. I also found this to be the absolute cheapest place/hotel in Italy to buy water from, at only 1 Euro, unheard of really in Italy... More

We stayed there as part of a Trafalger tour. I love this place. Our room was small, but updated and very clean. Our window overlooked the tile roofs and valley below. Tiny bathroom but it had a tub, which is rare, and, as I said very clean. The restaurant was very good and everyone was wonderful. I hope to return... More
