Excellent location and service. Wish we had more time to enjoy the surroundings. The proximity to St. Francis Basilica is of course unbeatable. There is very little parking space (if you are renting a car) but manageable. There is a ramp however down below at a cost. People are very friendly. When we stayed, it was very quiet with very...

My family and I were in a Globus Tour and when we arrived at the Windsor Savoia in Assissi, we were CHARMED. The town hold a very special place in our hearts, because we were baptised in a church named after St Francis of Assissi, in a little town named Mount Lavinia, in CEYLON. The Hotel Windsor Savoia added a...

The hotel is excellent. Its position, overlooking the wide countryside and a glimpse of the lovely streets and buildings of Assisi, is perfect. The staff are friendly, courteous and pleasant. The welcome they offer is warm and generous. The food, at breakfast and the evening meal, was excellent - as was its serving. The rooms were beautifully looked after, and...

Let me get something straight. If they put this hotel in any other city, it would probably get 2*. Assisi is a magical place. Stunningly beautiful in its simplicity. If you can, request a room with a veiw over the countryside, it will take your breath away. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are small and dated and...

I visited this hotel (1 night) during a tour of Europe, Traditional Europe, organized by Trafalgar. We travelled as a group and I always shared a room with my boyfriend. The hotel is in a charming setting. It is clean and the staff is very welcoming. However, our room was very warm; the air conditionning did not work properly. Also,...

A bulk hotel trying to convince merely by its name. Location ok for someone with a car, which is not easy to find in Assisi but that's where the benefits end. Unfriendly staff who was never there, all room keys available to anybody aytime (real theft hazard!), and we even heard the suspect manager go mad on a staff member...

Dear freegate, thank you for helping us to investigate about the incident you reported. I'd like to highlight that the manager didn't go mad with a staff member, but unfortunately you witnessed to a quarrel between two staff members. I apologise for their action. Best regards Hotel Windsor Savoia

Reading from previous reviews it seems to me that the rooms are of wide ranging standards. Our view was of the city wall, the room was extremely small and of a very basic standard. Walking down the dark dingy corridor was a bit eerie!! We went down to the end of the corridor where the balcony was and it certainly...

The rooms were clean, with large windows. If I looked down, there was the bus parking lot. However, looking straight ahead, there were beautiful views of rolling green hills. I chose to look up! We took a bus to the top of the hills, and walked down to the cathedrals and streets. It was a wonderful experience, and I am...

Dear wearytrvlr, I apologise for the problem that your friends and you have had in our restaurant. In this moment it's a little bit difficult for me to understand the reason why some person have received their dinner later then others, but anyway this fact shouldn't happen. Again, I regret and I apologise for that. Hoping to see you again...

A nice family hotel small and with very obligning staff in the hotel. The staff in the restaurant was not as polite and very "sloppy" when serving. The food was not great. The room and bathroom was nice. We would have liked a full length mirror in our room. One tip is to soundproof the doors of the rooms better...
