Each year we stay at the Hotel Sole for a music festival. This family-owned hotel is top notch when it comes to service and hospitality. The staff is amazing and treats you like family. Breakfast is extensive and dinner is the best in Assisi. We always look forward to staying here!

Great location just 10 minute walk to basilica. Hotel is in a busy street; however, all goes quiet by 10pm. Overall the hotel is "untidy" and worn. There is no elevator in the older section and we were on the top floor. This made it great for the balcony (overlooking the city) but not for getting luggage to our room....

Great room inside a tasteful hotel annex. Lovely family and staff. Great breakfast. It's a winner and not expensive at all. It is very near two of the happening piazzas with lots of shops bars and restaurants. Assisi is a must see religious centre that even agnostics can enjoy. One of the hi lights of my 6 weeks of meandering...

We stayed for one night in this hotel. Service and staff are good, well furnished clean room with rock hard pillows! not very modern bathroom, included a comprehensive buffet style breakfast with good service in the restaurant. The rooms are not very sound proof and we got woken up by people in the passage at all hours of the night....

It was like a fairytale. We stayed for one night at hotel sol and we really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean, the employees were kind and the location was perfect. You definitely pay little, but get a lot.

We stayed for 2 nights, and I wished I could have left the minute we walked into the room. The room had a terrible smell to it, and the bathroom smelled of urine. The front desk people weren't all that friendly either, and the breakfast marginal at best. Walking on the tile floors, my feet were dirty, as if I'd...

The daytime sleepiness of our little son forced us to rent a room in this hotel for 4 hours so that he could have a nap. Approaching the receptionist of this small 2 star hotel a few steps from Santa Chiara we didn`t expect to be be accommodated in a very cozy and recently renewed room with all the necessary...

We spent one night in Assisi at the Hotel Sole. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The rooms had breathtaking views of the valley. The bathrooms were nice, although the bathtub had no shower curtain (traditional italian bath) and the linen towelss weren't too absorbant. This was an awesome place to stay in a BEAUTIFUL city. Just down the...
