My husband and I stayed at the Borgo Grondaie a few years ago and had a very lovely, wonderful experience. We loved it so much that we would love to stay there again this summer. We planned our summer trip several months in advance; it was our first trip to Italy; we were organizing the trip ourselves, and neither of...

We stayed in one of the apartments for 5 days while we toured Tuscany at the end of September. It is an ideal location if you have a car and are planning on using Siena as a base to explore Tuscany, maybe not so good if you are staying here only to visit Siena as it is a little ways...

We stayed in an apartment for 3 nights and used the hotel as a base to explore a number of towns in Tuscany. The hotel is not located within the walls of Siena but is an oasis outside the walls, where you can walk the grounds, sit by the pool or relax at one of the many tables and chairs...

We just returned from two weeks in Italy, and stayed two nights at the Borgo Grondaie. This is a peaceful, charming little Inn that will not disappoint you. The entrance was lined with fragrant lemon trees in rustic terra cotta pots. The grounds were beautifully minicured, and our room, although small, was imaculate and well appointed. From our window we...

I am going to write this review very carefully after the severe critisism recently of a fellow trip advisor. We only stayed 1 night on our way from Umbria to Pisa airport but we enjoyed our visit and we thought it good value for money. We booked the room ( which was in the villa ) through Venere and paid...

My fiancee and I stayed for a night at the Borgo Grondaie during our recent tour of Tuscany. We found it to be incredibly charming and a nice getaway from the center of the city. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and mapped out how to get to the city center and back. Although we were outside...

We have stayed in Borgo twice in the last 2 years, both times in one of their great little apartments. We stayed 5 days in 2004 and 13 days in 2005. The quality of the service and the friendliness of the people, the high level of accomodations for the cost (feels like 5 star at 2 or 3 star prices),...

I have stayed in several hotels in Siena like the Athena and the very bad Toscana, and so wanted to try a different type which is this residence that was highly rated on the trip advisor site. Although there were some nice aspects to this place, like the pleasant and courteous housekeeping staff, the working A/C, and the wine cantina,...
