Its very comfortable, roomy, quiet and the free clothes washing facilities were a great 'plus'. It's not in town, but once you know that its has much to recommend it.

My fiance and I stayed at the Borgo Grondaie for three nights at the end of our two week vacation through France & Italy - it was absolutely our favourite place the whole trip! We used the hotel as a base for exploring Siena and taking a day trip to Florence. The walk into town is about 25 mins -...

After paying $300.00 a night for a room no better than a Red Roof Inn in Rome, my expectations were low. This Hotel greatly exceeded my low expectations. Truly beautiful grounds, extremely helpful staff. The room was 105 Euro per night, and can only be described as an apartment. Kitchen, King sized bed, and the best A/C system out of...

We stayed in an apartment at the Borgo Grandie for one night and we loved it. The apartment was large, extremely clean, and modern. We were able to walk to the grocery store next store and made our own dinner. We were also able to do our laundry there with the use of their washer. The bathroom was newly remolded...

The Borgo Grondaie certainly lived up to our expections. This is truly a beautiful hotel. The gardens are well kept and beautiful. The setting alone gives you a feeling of peace and grace. We had lovely apartment which gave the four of us togetherness, as well as, space for ourselves. The furnishings are beautiful. The bathroom as everything you need...

This was our most expensive hotel on our trip and we were not dissapointed. The location was very pleasant (close enough to town but in the countryside so beautiful surroundings), the rooms were wonderfully appointed, and the breakfast was amazing! As stated by others you can walk into town (we did) but it is a good 45 min walk especially...

Even with the good reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by many aspects of the Borgo Grondaie. The property is beautiful and has a very rural feel. Gaia was a very gracious and helpful host who speaks excellent English. Our apartment was spacious, extremely quiet, nicely furnished, and very well equipped (including china, nice wine glasses, lots of sharp knives, and...

We stayed two nights at the Borgo Grondaie in a two room suite which featured a small kitchen. The suite was located in an old farm house which has been completely restored to a new condition. The rooms were quiet, very clean and it was convenient to have a large, modern grocery store nearby so that we could cook in...

Siena is lovely if you're looking for a quiet city break. It's not got the tourism of Florence but then it isn't that striking architecturally. But if you want to relax, it's perfect, and Borgo Grondaie is ideal. I'ts a stroll downhill from the town which is a great way to walk off the dinner, and really we couldn't have...
