siena is a small town and the hotel is an easy walk from piazza gramasci (bus stop) and to the lovely piazza del campo. it was convenient to return to the hotel anytime during the day. note that the streets in siena are a bit confusing so carry a map. our room was clean and was on the first floor... This hotel is a true gem! We had a wonderful stay and would return without hesitation. The staff was friendly, very attentive and spoke excellent English. The room was very large, clean as a whistle, and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and, since there was very little noise from either the street or from the other guests, we... We stayed here in july 2003. We got an excellent, quite large room on the ground floor, which worried me a bit before entering the room, since I had read about the noice from the street. However we got a quiet room facing the back of the hotel with a balcony and table and chairs. Do as we did, just... More

Our room was in the back, thus quiet and had a very nice view and private balcony. I would not recommend a room on the very busy street side.... More

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a good central location. Lots of reviews mention the noise, however, we had a room facing the soccer stadium and it was not that noisy. However, there were no soccer games scheduled during our stay. The room had a small balcony with two chairs and a table. The bathroom was small but clean.... More

Clean, comfortable room with decent bathroom. Very friendly, helpful staff and adequate, typical Italian breakfast. Easy walk to the primary sights and decent restaurants. 6 Euro taxi to/from train station, but give plenty of time to catch the few trains headed south, or you'll need to head to Florence and backtrack south. Had a room near the lobby and street,... More

Got the hotel from the internet and did not know what to expect. The hotel was easily accessible by taxi from the train station (approx. 6 EU) and is absolutely charming. Outdoor seating area front and back. Backs onto the soccer stadium where the Serie A teams play - my husband was thrilled. Our room was well air conditioned and... More
