Have you ever thought of trying a small independent hotel you never heard of, but which is ideally located within walking distance to all the main tourist attractions in that city? You might be pleasantly surprised at what you might get. Hotel Duomo is just such a hotel, located right in the heart of the old town of Siena, and...

I love all the staff in the hotel. They were kind and super helpful in providing information about the city. Location is simply the best to see the Duomo/Cathedral and il Campo. Now - the view from the room is to die for - especially at night where the Duomo glows. Good restaurants within 5 mins walking from the hotel....

The room and bathroom while clean was very dated and shabby. We had no view, except of a wall a few feet away. Also you can hear the conversations from the next rooms. Limited breakfast, nice fresh fruit. Tony at reception was extremely pleasant and helpful, a great asset to the hotel.

We stayed in this well located hotel in early October - only for a night and it was really good and the guy behind reception was very helpful - in the middle of all the Siena action. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we would recommend this hotel

Hotel is a little run down. Bathrooms are very small and haven't seen a shower like this in years. You stand in front of the toilet and pull a curtain around you and use a portable shower head. That said. It is a great location! Outstanding view! Recommend a room with a balcony. Staff is helpful and their restaurant recommendations...

Can't beat the location. Getting to the hotel is a bit tough, but if you're ok with a long twisty bus ride, you can ride to Porta Tufi and hike uphill for 8 minutes to reach the hotel. Or just pay for a cab. The rooms are pretty small, and there are some awkward stairs to be aware of, but...

We couldn't be more pleased with a hotel. Although the hotel is difficult to find, by emailing the hotel ahead of time made it easier. Tony, who we believe runs the hotel is very patient with Americans, since the drive here may be challenging for some, but well worth the effort. Service desk is staffed 24 hours . The view...

This small hotel is set just 5 minutes walk from the Duomo (hence its name) & the Palio. Rooms are quite small but beds are comfy - views from our room was fantastic plus the added bonus of a little balcony. Breakfast was standard fare but the bread was fresh & there was fresh fruit. Staff were fantastically helpful, especially...

One member of the hotel crew was very nice and helpful. However the hotel itself does not deserve its 3 stars (bathroom in bad shape (shower at the same level of the WC), radiator needed to be updated, nasty bathroom table, old windows...). You get a superb view, but that's very expensive only for this. Deserves 2 stars at the...
