We stayed one night in Molino di Foci and loved it! The place is beautiful and has an amazing view of the Tuscan hills. The rooms are really clean and modern (despite it being in an old maison). Owner gave us great recommendations on where to eat and vineyards to visit, he was really kind and polite. And the breakfast...

Clean, friendly, beautiful property, great attention to detail! The optional dinner is great and the included breakfast is quite good. The gravel road leading to the property is only about a quarter of a mile and well maintained. You will love it. Stay there.

Where to begin....it was all so good! I'll start with the owners - Heidi and Luca. Very kind and hospitable hosts. They and their staff do everything to make you happy, comfortable and wonderfully fed. The location is just 4km from the town of San Gimignano - the perfect amount of distance - close enough, but far enough away to...

Very welcoming staff, they were so nice to our baby. Nicely decorated rooms with powerful AC. Breakfast served on their beautiful terrace overlooking their great swimming pool and garden. There we also had a delicious dinner (normally served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).

Me and my partner travelled here for 11 days from 4-15th July 2016. It's such a beautiful, out of the way hotel. Spotlessly clean and with amazing views. The breakfast was ideal, and had everything you expect from a buffet breakfast. They would also make you eggs on request. You would definitely need a car to stay here as you...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights; we had the greatest stay! It was a great location- only a few minute drive to San Gimignano. The room was modern and clean, the owner was so welcoming and accommodating (and also spoke English fluently which really helped). Breakfast was delicious and changed daily. The property and...

We had a hire car so we found this B&B easily. I cannot praise this establishment highly enough. The room was stunning and the owner was so professional and returned my faith in the standards of service after a month of italians who unfortunately let me down. The grounds are well looked after, rooms are spacious enough and clean and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Molino di Foci is an old watermill dating back to the 14th century. After being abandoned for over 40 years it has been carefully restored into a characteristic small hotel, ready to offer guests a warm welcome to the fascinating tuscan countryside. Restoration work has been sympathetically carried out over a number of years using materials and colours typical of Tuscany. As a result, Molino di Foci now offers its' guests the possibility to clearly envisage the life and history of the old watermill while enjoying any modern comforts, amid a wonderful setting surrounded by fields of wheat and spectacular sunflowers. The English speaking owners have a long experience in first class hotellerie and with the restoration they have realized their big dream of their own hotel. Situated on the via Francigena, which originally lead pilgrims from Canterbury to Rome, the Molino di Foci is an historic building protected by the Belle Arti. The Molino di Foci is only 4 kms away from the historic medieval centre of San Gimignano and ideally located for visiting both Siena and Volterra which both lie just 30 kms away, distance to Florence is 45 kms and Pisa airport 80 kms. ... more   less
