I booked three nights at this property and couldn't have asked for a more authentic experience! Alessandro (owner/manager) was very timely with all email correspondence and even provided excellent driving directions from Florence. The property is much more in-line with a farm or country house experience, as their is truly no place you would walk too. I was given a...

From the moment the owner, Alessandro, greeted us on our first day, our stay at Il Casole del Cotone was fantastic. Located just outside of San Gimognano, it is a pretty 40 minute walk into town (though not recommended at night due to poor lighting). Our room was clean and modern although very warm (be warned not all rooms have...

Second stay. We stayed for 8 days last year and decided to stop for 2 weeks this year. It's spotlessly clean, friendly, peaceful. Well located to visit Chianti, Pisa, Lucca, Vinchi, Sienna., Monteriggioni, Volterra. We still keep finding new places to visit and old places that never cease to amaze.

I did not know what to expect from this booking on line and was most pleasantly surprized ! When we arrived we were greated by the owner, ALESSANDRO MARTELLI. He was extremely friendly and very helpful in everyway. Our accomodations were across the street in the Rocca degli Olivi. Alessandro accompanied us across the street and checked us in over...

This was my first visit to Tuscany and it was everything I imagined – and more! Casale del Cotone was the icing on the cake! It was absolutely prefect. Alessandro Martelli was the consummate host. Very friendly, helpful and charming. Our room was clean, comfortable and quite beautiful. My travel companions and I hated to leave and hope to return...

Il Casole del Cotone is the perfect place to experience Tuscany. Just outside the walls of San Gimignano, it is on a lovely hill surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The view is breathtaking all around. The peaceful setting is enhanced by the charming and helpful innkeeper, Alessandro Martelli. This was my second stay here, and it just confirmed my...

We stayed two nights in early May. We loved the location - close to San Gimignano - the lovely old buildings ( we stayed Casale side), the beauitful views, the vineyards and olive trees and the peace and quiet. Too cold for the pool, but it would be lovely in summer. Lovely garden to walk around. A great base for...
