This was our fourth visit to Alessandro Martelli's wonderful family home which he has turned into a 19-room hotel with glorious Tuscan views in every direction. Alessandro was a bachelor when we first met. He is now married with two small children but still has that dreamy Italian air about him. George Clooney is what many Americans think now when...

I would recommend this B&B 100%. I nicknamed it the paradise B&B - it was so heavenly! Our room was beautiful, traditionally decorated and very clean. The views from the room across the Tuscan hills were just stunning. Definitely stay for the meals in the evening - they are not offered every evening but WOW they are fantastic and well...

There's so much to remember about this place. It's a beautifully renovated, family run, villa in the midst of great scenery, about 3km outside San Gimignano. It's a B&B, so you can't expect everything that an hotel has to offer. The rooms are basic, but perfectly serviceable (my wife needed more hanging space for her clothes, but that's a common...

We stayed 7 nights at Il Casale del Cotone. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Our host, Alessandro, is always available to answer any questions and recommend places to visit in the area. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the seven course feast that Alessandro prepares a couple of times a week. This was the best and freshest food we...

My wife, daughter and I stayed for several nights while visiting Tuscany. It's a beautiful villa, surrounded by vineyards, with immaculate, well-appointed rooms. Alessandro is a charming and helpful host, and provided us with ideas of places to see and practical tips (such as where to park in Siena). Breakfast is a feast, and the villa is perhaps five minutes...

Our recent trip to Italy included a 2 night stay at this wonderful place. The rooms and grounds are spotless. The surrounding beauty of the rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards leaves one in awe. Allesandro is a wonderful host. We had the meal there one evening and it was by far one of the finest meals that we have had....

Il Casale del Cotone is simply beautiful! We stayed for 3 nights and had a double and triple room. Both were spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless!! In addition, for our adult children, the free wireless was a welcome addition. We were fortunate enough to experience one of Alexander's spectacular dinners! Each course was more delicious than the previous. The weather...

It was my first time in Italy and Tuscany, and I couldn't believe how the beautiful countryside came to life. Just like what I have seen in the movies. Il Casale del Cotone was a picture postcard. Our host, Allessandro couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our rooms opened onto a gorgeous veranda with sweeping views of the...
