Arriving would have been a bit of a challenge since you have to back down a one way street after you've actually made your way within the city walls, but the picture by picture "map" that the hotel made available on-line actually made it a snap, even without the assistance of good old "garmin" our sometimes savvy navigator. We came...

This Hotel is in a very good location in the small town of San Gimignano. This is the second time we have stayed there and have enjoyed it both times. We have stayed at this family owned hotel/historical residence at least 8 times through the years. The staff is polite and professional without being stuffy. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when in Tuscany.

The bed linen is of very good quality and the pillows plush and very comfortable. This adds to the luxurious feel which has been created in this hotel. No "commercial" feel, which enhances...

The Hotel L'Antico Pozzo and the village of San Gimignano were far and away the highlight of our Tuscany trip. We were within a short walk of spectacular scenic views, wonderful restaurants, and shops that sold so many things my wife couldn't live without. It didn't take us two days to recommend the Hotel L'Antico Pozzo to a friend who...

The rooms are quite basic for the price (Which does seem to be typical for Italy) but it is a fantastic location in one of the side streets of San Gimignano, is clean and has very pretty communal area including a great indoor bar and a lovely terrace area.
