We arrived early to get sunset photos with San Gimignano in the background. Before dinner we purchased reds, whites, olive oil, and aged balsamic to ship home. Then we were seated family-style on the terrace with some delightful people from several countries ( especially Manuela and Bernhardt!). We were given bottles of Merlot and Vernaccia di San Gimignano with dinner,...

I spent four nights here in May with my two adult children. It was a highlight of our trip to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of this farm. The food and wine is excellent. The staff is kind and accommodating. The farm is located near two charming medieval walled towns, Certaldo and San Gimignano. The accommodations themselves are rustic; however,...

Visiting this place with tourist and they shows as around. The barn and Olive tree. Love the Chianti and other wind. Love the pasta and bread. Desert wine is the plus. Lovely place and friendly service.

What a gem! We were part of a large group who made a day trip for the pasta making lesson, farm tour and lunch. We were warmly greeted by one of the owners, Sarah fioroni, a lovely, vivacious person who also taught the pasta making class. The class was wonderful and enjoyed thoroughly by all who attended, thirty plus men,...

I find it difficult to put into words just how special our stay was at Fattoria Poggio Alloro. Sarah and her family made us feel so welcome - we arrived as visitors and left as friends. Between the food, hospitality and breathtaking scenery, it was difficult to say goodbye. This is truly a special place and anyone who stays here...

Sarah and her family welcomed us with so much personal attention. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and spotlessly clean. The cooking class was so much fun with only 6 of us, we each got plenty of help learning to create a whole wonderful meal. Then we got to eat what we made for dinner that night. Breakfasts were amazing...

We've been coming to Poggio Alloro for the past decade with a large group of friends; it was love at first sight and the love story continues today! A big thank you to Sarah and to the Fioroni family for the great hospitality - you make us all feel like we are part of the family! Fabulous views of San...

My girlfriend and I made a long detour to stay here for a couple of nights, after a visit a couple of years ago. We were disappointed to find that all the little personal touches that made the place so great just a short time ago have disappeared entirely - we no longer felt like guests of the family, more...

Dear C.S , We are still the same family with the same service ,I remember that I was talking to you and to all the wonderful guests in the terrace with the San Gimignano view, but I understand you like your host, my cousin Renzo better ...ok, I'm a little sad but I can live with that!! :-) The first...

We visited in May with our young son and had a fabulous stay. The accommodation is basic- as advertised on the website- but the rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly- they all doted on our baby who loved the attention. He was particularly fond of phillipo. The...
