In October 2010 I had the privilege of visiting Podere Montese for the first time. This October on another trip to Tuscany, I was thrilled to return to the breathtaking scenery and warm hospitality of this quaint B & B. When I arrived the hosts Annalisa and Davide greeted us with open arms like we were old friends and graciously...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Podere Montese in May 2011 for a little under a week and really wish that we'd had more time to enjoy the tranquility of the area and the hospitality of Annalisa and Davide. We had rented a car, which is a must if staying this far out of a main city; this allowed us...

The b&b was better than expected!! It was really great, nice welcoming, great view, simple but very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was good. Swimming pool and terrace are more than fine. The wine was very very good! It was very nice that there was a refridgerator with water and wine at a very nice price!! Beautiful view over San...

When we booked Podere Montese, we thought: If it is as good as in the pictures, it will be perfect. Two weeks there and we can frankly say: It was even better than in the pictures. We had a great time and Podere Montese is everything you imagine when you plan a vacation in Tuscany. This little place is close...

First thing you notice, of course, is the beauty of Podere Montese ,then you meet the owner! Davide could be from New York with all his charm and soft spoken manner but the scarf around his neck and cackys tells you he owns a vineyard and a B&B in Tuscany! Class all the way! Times were tough for him with...

We spent five days at the Podere Montese in June. Great location, only 5 minutes by car to San Gimignano. Fabulous breakfasts. Family run by Davide and Annilese who make you feel part of the family. They make their own wine which was exceptional.and if you don't want go go anywhere just relax by the pool. Peter and Janet

Thanks again Trip Advisor for this outstanding recommendation. There's always a bit of apprenhension when finally arriving at the hotel one books on-line. However, please take my word for it, this hotel is a find! I don't know what's the best part - the innkeeper, Davide and his welcoming family, the lovely hotel itself, the outstanding view of San Gimignano,...

We had high hopes for this place, since it was recommended by friends. However, we did not have a good experience. When we arrived the weather was rainy and cold. When I mentioned to the proprietor that our room was cold, he showed me the electronic monitor for our room and said that since it was 67 deg. in our...

My husband and I, along with our 10 year old, recently stayed at the Podere Montese for 5 nights. The Podere Montese is, for lack of a better word, FABULOUS! Set amidst Olive groves and vineyards, the Montese is beautiful, serene, picturesque, tranquil, romantic, relaxing, quaint...I could go on, but there are not enough adjectives to describe this hidden gem!...

Podere Montese is one of the B&Bs at which we felt totally laid back and away from it all. The owners, Davide, Annalisa (and their cheerful daughter) were very friendly and they also recommended sight to visit and the best eating spots in the vicinity. No need to add that the food in the area is just in a class...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Podere Montese you will feel like you are at home! Podere Montese is a typical Tuscan stone house converted into a lovely, family-run B&B where guests feel at home. At the Podere, the day starts with a rich breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the valley opposite San Gimignano, situated only 2 km away. Do not miss the cappucino prepared by Davide: many of our guests consider it a real legend! The place is run personally by the owners, Davide and Annalisa; on request, they will provide you with the products of the farming estate. ... more   less
