Certainly never seen grand ; very dated bedrooms old like being in the 1950s so glad only stayed one night ; beds very small hard mattresses and clearly old , drab and dreary ; bathroom curtains mouldy ; unable to open shutter in bedroom so...More
Having been so disappointed with my pre-paid 5 star trip to the Grand Hotel Palazzo in Livorno, I left early and checked into this hotel to salvage my last day and a half. This hotel is in an excellent location, literally yards from the Tower...More
The hotel was in a fab location in the centre and 5 min walk from the tower. The rooms were clean and breakfast was adequate. The reception staff went above and beyond to help us find restaurants and help with train to Florence and Lucca.
I don’t think you can fault this hotel, it is a good price for what you get. Excellent location and balcony views of the tower. Walking distance from Pisa central train station (20 mins). Easy to get back to the airport, take the Pisa mover...More

Yes, there is a lift. If I remember, there are five floors altogether. breakfast was vast--catering to both Italian, German, British, and U.S. preferences. The surrounding streets are mostly pedestrian-only zones, so there is no road noise. It would depend on what guests were partying. Even with a "do" on the terrace restaurant, there would be not much noise pollution, if any. You could probably arrange for a late check out, but would have to leave your luggage downstairs in an area of the lobby. The desk staff would call a cab for you, by the way, since there is no car traffic on the street in front of the hotel.
