Really lovely, welcoming owners. Quirky place, full of antiques and ornaments. Full of character. Really central, close to the leaning tower of Pisa. Is down a side street so make sure you have a good map to find it.

The interior of this hotel is full of antiques. Our double room is really huge. There's a full sofa set and another single bed... more than enough for the 2 of us. Really Tuscan style with the rustic-ness and all. The Italian lady is really charming although she speaks very less English. There's a man there who speak perfect English....

This hotel has friendly staff, huge rooms, and is in a central yet quiet part of Pisa town centre, and the price was very reasonable.

Positives: location very near evertyhing one might want to see in Pisa, helpful and friendly staff, incredible rooms full of antiques, unique experience of staying in authentic Tuscany 400 property. Negatives: strange little bathroom, filthy shower cubicle. However, the rest of the bathroom was clean, and this seems to be an italian theme as we found clean bathrooms with dirty shower...

When reading on Trip Adviser that Pensione Rinascente was like staying with your grandmother I decided to give it a go, and I must say I agree! The old lady who runs it is absolutely lovely, helpful and although she doesn't speak much English, tries her best and is helpful and friendly nonetheless :) The rooms and comfortable and cool...

You feel like you're visiting your grandma as soon as you enter the place : The atmosphere, the furniture, the reception, everything recalls 'family'. The rates are low, which is almost a bit surprising given the excellent location just a few meters from the leaning tower. We would check in here any time again !

Up 4 sets of stairs my heart sank a little, being with my 70 year old mother and 40 kg of luggage. Nevertheless, the genuine helpfulness of the owner, comfy beds and decent sized rooms, made up for the initial first impression. Some might find this a little cluttered if your preference is 4 star sterile. Otherwise you'll be richly...

I've never stayed anywhere like this before but it was utterly charming and very 'rustic Italian', filled with antique furniture old drawings and paintings and old patterned rugs. Paulo and his aunt own and run the place and they are so friendly and helpful despite limited English. They even gave me a discount because I was on my own! Tip:...

I want to write this hotel an excellent review, I really do...for example, the treatment we received from the owners was exquisite and the location can't be beat. However, there are some things that need to be improved before this hotel becomes a "must stay" destination. In fairness to the hotel though, I'm just going to write what we liked...

We stayed at Pensione Rinascete for 2 nights and we were really charmed by the location, staff (the owner Paulo and his auntie) and endearing decor. You really can't pick a better location, only 5 mins from the leaning tower and 2 mins from the busy shops and bars you want to explore when in Pisa. Paulo, the owner, was...
