Old building but clean rooms and a spacious bathroom attached to our room. Only a 10 minute walk to Porta Anna and the city wall.( And the bus station). Breakfast at the patisserie next door was just as handy for a late night drink or sandwich to go. The Wifi Internet connection in Stella provided the fastest downloads of my... More

We greatly enjoyed the ambiance of our room at the Affittacamere Stella. The location is fairly close to the walled city of Lucca, requiring only a five to ten minute walk. The surrounding streets are pleasant but fairly busy, especially in the evening. We especially enjoyed the wood beams of the ceiling in our upper-storey room, and the large shutters... More

Excellent accommodation. Very clean, large room, great bathroom. Extra facilities on the ground floor. Tea and coffe making facilities, with a table and chairs, sink etc,. Very handy. Only about a 5 minute walk from the bus station which is in the wall old city of Lucca. A lovely place to explore. We started by walking around the city wall,... More

Very basic rooms with no breakfast room but a pastiserrie next door for breakfast. It's off a busy street, but far enough to not be too noisy. It's a 15 minute walk to the town walls. There's nothing at all note worthy, but it wasn't bad either.

This could have been a great place to stay because the rooms are large and authentic, but the fact that ours was more or less in the baking hot car park totally ruined the stay. There are two rooms on the left corner of the main building ground floor and my party was given both of them. Both were accessed... More

This bed and breakfast hotel is a 15 minute walk outside the city walls in a quiet suburb. I had a double room which was spacious and had a good size bathroom, sans bath. There is a kitchen which has free coffee and teas on tap and a cooker and microwave should you choose to do you own food. It... More

We really enjoyed our three night stay in Lucca. We made a day trip to Florence which was wonderful. This hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the train station. We also walked to the town wall and walked the circuit and then had a look through town. There is a wonderful cafe next door for breakfast. If you are... More

We found the room more spacious and reasonably priced than many places we stayed on this trip. It is next door to an amazing bakery. We stayed three nights and walked to the old city of Lucca every day. We enjoyed our visit very much.

This was simple accommodation which was clean and comfortable. It was serviced everyday which is nice and even though the bathroom was very small, it was very clean and newly renovated. There was a fridge in the room and with the use of the equipment from the communal kitchen down stairs, you could, at least prepare a meal if you... More
