We stayed at Villa Michaela for three nights in August for a wedding. It was a brilliant experience from start to finish and the rooms are simply exquisite! You won’t find a more unique or interesting place to stay in Italy.
Our stay at Villa Michaela was just what we needed to round off our year of travel with some R&R. The Villa is set within beautiful grounds, with one often catching themselves just simily staring up into the hills and sourroundings, mesmerised by its beauty....More

There is air conditioning in the majority of bedrooms. Because the frescoes in the public rooms are subject to the Italian Belle Arte regulations, air conditioning units are not permitted. Villa Michaela, like most of the villas surrounding Lucca was built so that the Luchese could escape the city's summer heat. When summer temperatures in 2015 reached a record 45 degrees Centigrade, the cooling breeze that flows softly through the Valley allowed guests to leave windows open at night. The Villa is usually 10 degrees cooler than Lucca.
