As part of a Group of 16 touring Tuscany and Umbria, this was our first hotel of a two week trip, and we loved the location, being right downtown and easy to get to all the shops and restaurants. We had a suite, with a huge Jacuzzi and nice big shower with glass doors. The bedroom had gorgeous frescoed walls, and we had another small room with a desk and mini bar. Breakfast was very good, and service was good.
Very nice, small hotel within the city wall. Room was spacious. Breakfast outstanding. On-site parking 15E per night. They provide excellent directions into and out of the city, which is important inside the city wall. Highly recommend.
Very comfortable gem of a hotel inside the city just off the main pedestrian street of shoppes. We had a king and twin bed which were easy to sleep on. Large bathroom with separate tub and shower. The room had its own controls fir heat and air conditioning. The windows could be opened. One minor issue was with the Wi-Fi. It slowed during busy times of the day to the point where it became frustrating to use. But you are in beautiful Lucca in Toscana! Why are you on the Internet? We thoroughly enjoyed it and would return.
The staff are incredibly professional and helpful and made us feel at home. For 15 Euros you can park a half block away. This hotel is a wonderful find in a quiet location. It felt like home, if only our walls were so beautifully frescoed as this hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and only wished for more. Breakfasts were generous and delicious and the location is only 2 - 3 minutes off the main palazzo. What's not to love?! This hotel goes to our "must go back" list. Grazie millie to the staff.
Just back from three nights in a superior room. We had seen the hotel online, liked the look of it so booked it, then saw a few negative reviews about it on Trip Advisor so we were slightly apprehensive. We shouldn't have worried. Everything about it was just spot on. The room was lovely and the staff were charming. Very happy to have stayed here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Amazing experience. I arrived in Lucca and due to unfortunate experience in the pre-booked place had to urgently find an alternative. By chance I managed to get the last spare room in this Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, location is excellent, the room comfortable, private large bathroom. Perfect breakfast
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel was absolutely fantastic. It is located almost in the middle of Lucca so is extremely close to everything that you could want to see, getting there can be tricky if there are no trains running or if you don't have a car but once you are there you won't need one! The breakfast that is included comes with a wide range of pastries, meats, cereals and more that you can have either inside or in the quiet garden away from the street. Excellent service and the food was just what you need to start your day. The rooms themselves are elegant and beautiful, we stayed in the 'Tulipano' room which had excellent facilities and cleaning services. In the morning we were able to open the shutters overlooking the street with a lovely view of Lucca. Whenever we needed help or advice on where to go or what to see and do a receptionist would be on hand to provide you a map whilst pointing out exactly were everything is, not to mention pointing us in the direction of some of the better restaurants. (head away from the tourist traps in the centre, the restaurants on the outside are much better) Thank you for an excellent hotel experience.…
We wanted to visit Lucca for 1 or 2 days but the room made us choose only one night. The rooms are nice, with wall paintings. But it was very noisy because of the restaurant in the ground floor. Unfortunately I realised that we didn’t had warm water. It was freezing cold water and I couldn’t take my shower. The reception couldn’t help me with the problem. The breakfast was good and the hotel has a parking (15€/ night) and it is in the centre.
Wonderful B&B in a great location for visiting Lucca’s old town. Extensive breakfast served by enthusiastic, smiling members of staff. The on site restaurant serves authentic Tuscan meals which are highly recommended. Spacious, well equipped bedrooms with large en-suite bathrooms. If you do stay here, be a sure to request a room that does not overlook the inner courtyard if you wish to have a good nights’ sleep. Other than that, highly recommended.
This is a charming hotel with very individual rooms. Quirky and fun decor. Decent-sized bathrooms. The only negative is that the decor is getting a little tired in places, and the furniture was rather poor - drawers and wardrobe a bit tatty. It is in a good central location with everything in walking distance. The staff were very friendly.
