Have been here many times and referred Palazzo Alexander to all our friends. The elegant place does not miss. It is a boutique hotel with 15 rooms/suites. The rooms are simple and elegant. There is a lift and a delicious extended breakfast. The owner and staff is knowledgeable. You should not be disappointed.

We spent one night in this hotel, very nice view from the room in the top with a balcony. Also the breakfast was good, like have a breakfast in friend's house. The localization is perfect and the service by the owner great. Lucca is a place very friendly with babies, you can walk with the stroller.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week in December, 2016. First of all the operator of the hotel, Mario, is a wonderful nice and respectful man. He will do anything to help you to make your stay comfortable. His son also works in the hotel, and is just like his dad. Any problems you have are dealt with...

A very old but extremely tasteful spot, rooms are very clean, has an elevator that works. Father and Son duo run the hotel, very nice, very knowledgable about the area. The hotel was about a 15minute walk from the train station. Lucca is a wonderful city many sites, great for kids and everyone, Many restaurants, gelato is everywhere- make sure...

I was in Lucca for over a week and stayed at the hotel. The room was basic, but clean and well stocked. A full breakfast was available each day with mainly homemade foods and superb coffee. The staff were courteous and helpful, even going so far as providing a breakfast at 4 am to accommodate early flights out. The place...

We arrived in This beautiful old hotel in Lucca, the moment we walked in, we already felt the warm welcome from the owner's son. He was very helpful in suggesting the good restaurant to eat during our stay. The room was beautiful and the whole interior is stunning. Breakfast is very nice, I loved the orange cake made by Alexander!...

The rooms have a warm feeling, metaphorically and literally in the colder weather. The reception by the owners son was very helpful, they clearly put a lot into the place and giving good service. As per other reviews he is very helpful with where to eat etc and information. He goes to the extra effort of care unlike other places...

Very friendly, comfortable and charming hotel. It feels like a mix of hotel and personal touch of a B&B. Very conveniently located, near all the good restaurants and main shop areas. Definitely would recommend.

We thought this was our best room of our Italian trip- wonderful views over the town from the bath tub, it was a spacious room and in a quiet location. The staff were helpful and we found our stay very relaxing. Lucca is great place to visit- we enjoyed riding around the ramparts enormously.
