During our recent family trip to Lucca we stayed at Hotel La Luna with our one and two year old children. The conscientious staff helped us with everything from our luggage, to directions, and getting us a high chair each morning for breakfast. They quickly learned our names and would play games with the kids. Our spacious room had a...

We stayed at the La Luna as we were in Lucca to see Simply Red at the Lucca Summer Festival and I can't really fault it for the price and its location. Rooms were a good size and nice and clean. Good selection for breakfast they even had proper English Tea (Twinnings) staff very helpful and friendly and a well...

Room was clean, good selection for breakfast and staff were very helpful and chatty. Great location right in the middle of the walled part of Lucca. Bar open as late as you wanted. Will definitely use this the next time as well.

The hotel is located in the old centre of the walled city. It's a few minutes walk to most places. It's clean and nice. No elevator in the part ofthe hotel were I stayed. Breakfast is Italian, no vegetables and no warm food. Nice and helpful staff. The WIFi was so slow I couldnt use it.

You can't beat the location in the center of Lucca (although that means you can't drive there but have to carry--or drag--your luggage to it from outside the wall). But the rooms were small and dark, not super inviting. OK for a short time when you mostly want to be out and about in Lucca. Not for a long trip...

Our room was booked for three people and was very small (by any standard) for even two, and it smelled bad. Although it was a non-smoking hotel, a previous guest had been smoking in the room. The staff moved us to another room, and although the new one was larger, it was tired and worn. Neither the safe nor the...

I stayed for two night in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and tried to help us whenever needed. Everything was always very clean and tidy. The breakfast was just what you needed. The comfort of the room was nothing fancy but everything was doing what it needed to do.

The hotel is situated in heart of the town from where you can roam the entire town by walk. it is about 1 km from lucca station and about the same to Pizzale Verdi, from where you can get buses to Pisa. The rooms are clean, although very small. for business trip this is fine.

Walk to your hotel from the train station or the wall - long and arduous on the cobblestones. No elevator. Intially given a smoky room but quickly offered a better room. No heat the first night - furnace not turned on. Desk staff very helpful. Convenient to the ancient city.

The hotel was very nice with good service and a great location. The room was on par with others we had stayed in while in Italy. We walked from the hotel to various sights including the wall surrounding the old portion of town. The shops near the hotel were very nice.
