Beautiful hotel, clean and modern. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room is immaculate, spacious with a beautiful en-suite and powerful shower.
It’s so easy to walk to all the points of interest with good restaurants nearby. Reception gave us a map and good recommendations of places to eat
Would stay here again

Nice hotel in the center of lucca with spacious, modern and very clean rooms.

We recommend to use the hotel’s garage (25€) to park your car as the hotel is situated within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). In Italy, cars are not permitted to enter these zones except they have a specific permission. The permission is issued (electronically) by the hotel.

We especially liked the service provided in the restaurant and at the reception. The receptionist provided useful information of how to explore the city best, including nice insights about the history of Lucca.

Breakfast is served at the table (due to Covid-19), service very attentive!

Firstly, Palazzo Dipinto is exquisitely designed and built. The interior design from the layout to the silk smooth finishing on all the wood to the bathroom fixtures to the interlocking light switches to the fabrics on the lobby couches and window treatments makes crystal clear this was built with professionalism, love and care down to the most minut detail. The service, as well, was professional and personal. Clara, Tomas, Francesco and Simone all made us feel as though we were in their homes and denied us nothing. A friend of mine has already made their reservation and we will be returning in the spring. A absolute jewel and rare find!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Lucca Italy, look no further. Palazzo Dipinto is as close to perfection as you will get in a hotel. It may be a little unassuming from the outside but don't let that fool you.
Location is great, a quiet piazza just a 2 minute walk to the Piazza San Michele, from there 1 minute to the main shopping streets and maybe 10 minutes to the Amphitheatre square ( Piazza dell'Antifeatro ) . Lucca is a very manageable walkable town and from this hotel you are close to everything. You can even get up on the wall that surrounds the city within 5 minutes from the hotel door.
The room was as advertised ( we were in Rm # 11 ) A beautiful large room especially by European standards, well appointed & clean . From what we were told by a non hotel employee, this hotel was newly renovated only 2 years ago. The bathroom was enormous, the shower actually had 2 rain head shower heads !
The staff was the best feature of the hotel. Friendly and welcoming seems inadequate to describe the staff. Upon our arrival ( 7hr air to Rome then 2 trains, we were exhausted ) we were immediately offered a drink, water, spritz, etc and a place to sit and relax before we even checked in. We instantly felt welcomed
From tips on Lucca , to dinner reservations, restaurant recommendations, they could not do enough to make your stay more enjoyable . Roberto, Francesco, Clara & Rosanna treated us like the most important guests in the hotel & I'm sure everyone who stays here feels the same way.
Plus all the back staff that you don't see, cleaning the rooms or preparing the breakfast buffet, all done seamlessly and professionally.
This hotel is without question 5 STARS !
We loved our stay and this hotel and highly recommend it.

Palazzo Dipinto is a relatively new hotel thoughtfully constructed within the walls of a noble palazzo. It is an understatement to observe that the architect and the designers did, truly, get it right. Being a guest there for many days was a great opportunity to experience the joy of a staff that also truly gets it right. Every day, every time. The quality of service is enhanced by the genuine concern of each staff member for every aspect of a guest's experience. Everybody cares, all the time.
There is no request too small or mundane. No question is a silly question. It is an amazing group of people in an exquisite property in a perfect location in a wonderful city. Can't wait to return.

Outstanding boutique sized hotel (21 rooms) in the centre of Lucca, virtually next door to Piazza San Michele. The top floor room we had was well appointed, sparklingly clean, air-conditioned, and spacious by Italian hotel standards (even 5 star standards). It didn't have much of a view, looking out over nearby rooftops as it did, and it did not have a balcony, but for a short stay those things didn't matter. The mini-bar is pricey, as is usually the case, but drinks at the hotel bar are quite reasonable. Breakfast is Continental plus a bit more, with bacon and eggs for those that want it, along with cheeses, fruits, nuts, cereals etc. The hotel has a nice sheltered terrace to the front square that it faces onto, where you can take your drinks from the bar if you like and have them al fresco. The hotel doesn't do lunch/dinner, just breakfast, but with all the restaurants available within a few minutes walk, it's not something that matters much. Reception, housekeeping and all the other staff are very pleasant and helpful without being intrusive. Top quality hotel all over and deserving of its 4 star rating. If only all other Italian 4 star hotels were of this quality.

This is a fabulous hotel to base yourself in the heart of Lucca. It is a luxurious retreat with the bonus of private parking on site. The rooms are extremely comfortable and come with elegantly furnished bathrooms equipped with power showers and up market toiletries. All the staff are really friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations and advice. We will definitely be back !

We stayed two nights here. What a lovely hotel, in a beautifully restored old palazzo. Modern and stylish, yet traditional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was of a very high standard, with excellent coffee made fresh, not from a push-button self service machine, and superb pastries.
The location is very good, down a quiet street on a little square but only a minute's walk to the busy Piazza San Michele. Lots of restaurants within a short walk. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
All in all, an outstanding hotel.

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Lucca with excellent staff, very comfy rooms and a nice breakfast. Stayed here for three nights and used as a base to explore northern Tuscany. One tip to bear in mind is that driving in and out of Lucca and parking your car is difficult so if you are planning to drive to Lucca, be sure to phone ahead to the hotel to make sure you reserve a space in their garage for your car. It costs €25 per day but is well worth it for the lack of hassle of having a car in the town.

This is really an excellent hotel with a modern and minimalist look inside. The location. Is great inside the city walls. You do need to book and pay for parking. The breakfasts were very nice. BUT be careful that the room you booked and paid for is the room that you get. We booked a junior suite. On the website, it clearly shows and describes a two roomed suite with two TV’s. We were put in one room with one TV. When I went to complain they insisted we were in a junior suite. When I showed the pictures, they offered us a discount of €60 for our stay. They did offer to move us the next day but the inconvenience of moving and packing up and waiting again for a room was too much trouble. Our room was only ready for check in an hour later than the stated time. So, my advice would be to confirm with the hotel that you are getting what you paid for. I would have given the hotel five stars if they hadn’t given us the incorrect room.

We came by car and stayed only 1 day. I never saw it and have no idea where it is located. However, the staff is superlative and if you call them, I am sure they will be glad to give you excellent directions. +39 0583 582873 is their phone number. Have a great trip and you will love your stay there.

Do you provide a crib for baby? Thanks!
Answer from Ahluwalias

Sorry I saw your question only now . You might have already been there. While the hotel on their email from website would have answered , my belief is that our experience indicated the hotel is able to provide or arrange most requests. In our case they even arranged Tuscan wine from vineyards shipped to our home in UK.

Does your hotel have a parking lot?
Answer from rid8012
New York City, New York230 contributions17 helpful votes
Not a parking lot but a valet parking for 25 Euros a day . You will pArk in front of the hotel and they will take care, you will forget about the car as you will not need it. To reach the hotel you will enter the ancient Roman walls and drive the city center streets are narrow so drive very slow. If you do not use that then you will have to park outside the walls and then walk or taxi
