This place worked out perfectly - it's within walking distance from the main train station, the tour buses, the main attractions and surrounded by great eating establishments. The Mercato Centrale is one block up the road, with a great food court on the first floor. The rooms at Casa Billi are basic and very clean, and sharing a bathroom is...

This is probably the favourite location for a stay in Florence. It is a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station in a slightly Bohemian street that offers a choice of bars (including a Brew Dog pub!), trattorias, pizzerias and mini-markets. It is about 200m from the Mercato Centrale, where you must go for the brilliant food, drink and atmosphere....

Great room, confortable bed, clean bathroom, AC, centrally located at a 5 minute walk from the Duomo, loads of restraunts in the surrounding area and a friendly host (Lorenzo). The only "not so good" aspect was that we couldn't pay with a card like it was advertised. However, if you want good Value at an inexpensive place, seek no more...

If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a few nights right in the centre of Florence, this fits the bill brilliantly. We stayed in one of the en-suite double rooms which was comfortable, clean and with a modern shower/toilet room. It overlooked a little courtyard so no street noise though some people were having a conversation in...

Close to the railway station and Duomo. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Outside to the right a few meters away is a very good cafe with great coffee and sandwiches which opens early. The rooms are small but well maintained. Very good shower. OK air conditioning. The manager was helpful and friendly. Excellent wi-fi. Tiny TV. Fridge available.

Centrally located, ideal If you're on a budget and a hostel-like place where, only the essentials like towels and a clean room to sleep are covered. Definitely stay here. You'll be 5 min walk from Central train station, 5 min walk to the duomo, 2 min walk to Mercato Centrale and 10min to ponte veccio.

Close to train station. Lorenzo took such good care of us, gave us lots of good information. The hotel is also very close to the Duomo and major museums. The room was cozy and had a nice shower. Great place when on a budget!
