We stayed four nights. We loved useing the pool for an entire day and having alfresco lunch in our bathers with wonderful frozen mango margaritas. Breakfast is expensive here but can you place a price on the best jam you'll ever eat....pumpkin and almond! They could tell I wasn't enjoying my coffee so they remade it to my satisfaction. They...

When we got home from Italy, I asked my husband what he would have done differently. He said he would have stayed in the Four Seasons every night. (Our other nights were in Rome and Venice.) This hotel is divine. The service is perfect. (We had wonderful waiters for breakfast each morning.) I loved the 24 hour concierge desk—great for...

I stayed 4 nights at the Four Seasons Florence in early June with my 7-year old daughter as part of a 'girls european getaway'. I don't know how they do it, but this Four Seasons has some of the best staff we have been lucky enough to meet. You expect excellent service at any FS hotel, but the staff here...

It is a resort in the heart of Florence. City center is not far away. Would highly recommend their welcome drink Cidarata or if...

We stayed for 2 nights in May 2014. I had read a lot of great reviews on TripAdvisor and the pictures of the hotel looked very nice. The hotel interior is amazing. The garden (it's a whole, beautifully landscaped park) was what made me book this hotel - real oasis for body and mind relaxation, just a few minutes walk...

Rooms are wonderfully clean, beds are incredibly comfortable, bathroom was huge and well lit, ambiance is utterly lovely. Hotel grounds, pool, gym, and spa all divine. Breakfast was delicious with a huge buffet assortment that offered something for everyone. Only downside is the exorbitant price, but if you want to splurge you do get fantastic quality.

I arrived at the Four Seasons Firenze Hotel from the airport in a taxi. The door was opened by the hotel concierge “ Good evening Mr Travers “ - I was immediately impressed – how did he know my name ? Was it a guess, was I the only person likely to arrive that evening, the only person to arrive...

We were so glad to have chosen the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze during our recent trip to Italy. Honestly not sure there is a Four Seasons that can top this location. The property is beautiful inside and out - every detail is flawless. The gardens are world class. Be sure to visit the community garden across the street (Four Seasons...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
