First, food are excellent, rooms are very nice and spacious. Also the staff is very friendly service minded. The actual property is on one of the most beautiful city hotels I have ever been at. It’s like a resort, where you easily can spend a full day. The pool area is very nice and you feel relaxed and the pool...

The hotel is a bit chintzy for my taste but was clean and comfortable. It is in 2 parts the old and the new. The gardens are so big that it takes up a whole block, so each part has its own entrance in a different street. The rooms are much bigger and lighter in the new part on Via...

Couldn't do enough for us! Lisa and Barbara at the front desk/reception were phenomenal. Treated you like family, but kept the professionalism. Our initial room wasn't to our liking, and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure she found us accommodations we were happy with. Eating breakfast al fresco on the beautiful property is just wonderful. Spend the money,...

This Four Seasons is the most beautiful property I have ever stayed at. Once you enter the doors of this unassuming building, you walk into a beautifully appointed and tranquil setting. The Florentine decor is stunning and the gardens are equally spectacular. The staff were truly some of the nicest, most helpful, and friendly people I have ever encountered at...

Four Seasons Firenze is a luxurious retreat in the middle of the city. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the gardens. The restaurant service was top notch and the food and drinks were wonderful. We will stay here again.

Agree with all the previous rave reviews. We booked a Premier room as that it the lowest category that has the 'possibility' of a view of the hotel gardens. When we were shown our room it didn't overlook the hotel gardens, which would normally have made me annoyed right from the start, but the room was beautiful and overlooked a...

We stayed at the Four Seasons for a special birthday trip. Totally enjoyed it and appreciated the wonderful service. Although it is a bit of a walk to Florence, the grounds and peace and quiet were very welcome at the end of the day. Our room was spacious and elegant. Food was outstanding. Service impeccable and friendly at the same...

this is the place in Firenze , everything is just perfect . didn't stay in the main building but the one on the other side of the garden . so if you want to go to restaurant or bar , you have to cross the garden . by the way they should hire a light designer , the only thing...

Our home away from home...We have visited this hotel maybe 17 times - we love it so much we got married here. That was five years ago and the team are still much the same. That says a lot. They are a real family who care about their guests so much. The food is amazing - Bravo Chef Vito! The...

This was my first stay at a Four Seasons hotel and hopefully not my last! The beautiful hotel and it's vast grounds are perfectly located in the centre of Florence. It really does offer a peaceful and secluded escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Florence. This hotel is perfect for any holiday goer as you...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
