Very comfortable, relaxing and cleaned room and bathroom! A great historical building located in the heart of Florence, I enjoyed the magnificent monuments as Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo and the main shopping street in few minutes by walk. Absolutely the best place and worth it!

The old building is amazing and the location is great but there are better hotels in Florence... The breakfast (you get a breakfast coupon at a nearby restaurant which include 1 hot drink, 1 juice and 1 toast or croissant) was not much to have as a breakfast. The description of the hotel at the bookingsite was not accurate: "private... More

Dear Karin, thank you for chosen us ! but please check better the descriptions, because on every website we sell our rooms is plenty specified that the bathroom is private (not sharing), but few steps out your room, and is also specified that to check in after 6 you have to pay a little extra charge. Finally, we are sorry... More

Centrally located in a 700 year old building N4U offers single bedrooms (double beds) with private toilets in the hallway. A common living room is also available. Limited minibar available in the rooms. Parking available (32 euro/day) ~300 meters away.

A warm welcome, nice room as usual. Just a note be careful if you are sensitive to noise, I don't care as sleep with ear plugs and also some rooms have off suite bathroom, but for me it's not an issue...I just mention in case some travellers would mind.

A unique place that is very close to many of the attractions. The stairs were rough, but should be expected as we encountered many of them in our 2 weeks in Italy. Why couldn't DaVinci invent the elevator? Lol. We stayed in the 'New York' room, which was great to have the bathroom in the room along with two extra... More

We stayed in the room "Paris", beds were very comfortable, room was very clean and our "Paris" bathroom along the hallway was also very clean with a good shower. Bathrobes provided for privacy were welcome. Guiseppe was very kind, carrying our bags up the last four flights of stairs and was very helpful and welcoming. Yes there are a lot... More

Great customer service. Original structure from the 1500's with high ceilings and original frescos. My comments below are not the fault of the Guest House. It's just the nature of the building and may not be an issue for some people, but good to be aware. The Guest House is about 4 or 5 flights up with no elevator which... More

Was a bit blended by the reviews. I expected to find a hidden gem... Room was ok, but the mattress was worn out. It was clean, but in the bathroom there were hairs of the previous guests on the wall... The bathroom is on the floor only, which makes life a bit difficult. Water pressure is very weak which is... Very bad service and hosting. Client doesn't matter. The information is tricky, there is not garage (you have to pay 26 Euros in a garage two blocks away and bring your luggage by your self). The rooms are in the 4th floor and THERE IS NOT ELEVATOR, then you better not bring heavy luggage. The bathroom is outside the room... More

Dear Guest, actually visiting our website, or just reading one of our reviews, you could know that we are in a building of the XIV century, where there is no elevator and our rooms have a private bathroom outside the room (not sharing). We realy enjoyed our stay here, with the guesthouse conveniently located about five minutes walking distance from the Duomo (in a striking 14th Century building in the heart of Firenze). We're really greatful to Giuseppe who also offered us great advice on some of the best places to eat whilst visiting the city and we'll definitely stay here again. We'll... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
