Le Tre Stenze was a budget guest house located in a side street one hundred meters to Duomo. The gueshouse was occupying an old bohemian building. Our room, la junior suite was in the top floor apartment. The vintage decoration was cool and romantic. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was small but ok. Although no breakfast was served...

What a place. If you love art, charm and joie de vivre in general, if you are looking for a place NOT like any unpersonal hotel, which is centrally located, then this is the place to be. Great, spacious rooms with a terrace (la mansarda) or a garden (the new suite). All rooms are wonderfully decorated, ready to be published...

We have just checked out of here and I'm sorry we had to leave so soon. First of all the pictures do not do this place any justice. We travel extensively staying in luxury hotels and less than luxury depending on country. I have to say that we were both DELIGHTED with our stay here. Patrick was so helpful and...

Le tre Stanze is a chambre d'hôte. No breakfast but an amazing appartement where we could prepare our breakfast ourselves. Tastefully decorated and we really appreciated the little private terrace in the sun. This is located 200 m from El Duomo. Ideal to wonder around and come back for a break. Patrick was extremely welcoming. Only down side is because...

The website and some of the reviews for Le Tre Stanze are misleading. The rooms are in a 16th or 17th century building that has had very few updates. As used in some of the reviews, I believe 'bohemian' must be a euphemism for old, tired and worn. The pictures on the website 'look' good - but in reality, I...

The location is central and Patrick was very nice when we checked in. Other than that, I would NEVER recommend this place to travelers. There is a strange disconnect going on here. Gorgeous, artistic photos on the website don't give a true view of these run-down, uncomfortable, expensive rooms. Glowing reviews describing a "magical" experience sound fishy after spending a...

I booked us a room here based on an acquaintances' recommendation and TA reviews. The photographer taking the pic's on their website is very good and does much to enhance the appearance of the building. The apartment is 1/2 block from the duomo and is conveniently located to lots of places and an easy walk to all the sites. It...

This review is LONG overdue, as we stayed with Patrick in 2012. I'm helping a co-worker navigate his planning for an upcoming trip, and realized I never left the glowing review Le Tre Stanze deserves. It's hard to describe this place in any other term but "magical". The building is ridiculously gorgeous, both in terms of its charm and its...

It's just behind Duomo and a 15 minute walk from the main train station SMN. Patrick, the owner, is very helpful and friendly. The room covers all needs and decorated very nice. One negative point: Wi-Fi doesn't work properly in the room, but you can use in the saloon upstairs.

If you like to stay at cookie cutter style hotels than this is not the place for you. These fabulous rooms have so much character in an amazing central location, you can even hear the church bells ringing! It is within walking distance to all of Florence's main sites. Patrick is a welcoming host who suggested the newly renovated James...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
