We stayed 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. The Giglio Blanco location is right by the Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, free of the tourist throngs that infest the north side of the Arno. It took less than 10 minutes to walk to Florence's main sights and maybe 20-25 minutes to walk to the train station, which we...

My husband and I stayed at the Gourmet Giglio Bianco B&B with Edo and Vary for three rainy days earlier this month. The warm reception we received there and the comfortable ambiance in the entire B&B made us forget entirely about the rain and allowed us to enjoy all the sights of Florence with the guidance of our hosts...and their...

Stayed here based upon a friend's recommendation. The expectations were high and all were met. We took part in the cooking class which was a real treat. The breakfast was the best we had in a two week stay in Italy. The hosts feel like friends and the room is very clean. It would be a pleasure to stay again!

My husband and I were warmly greeted by Edo while Vari finished up a cooking class. We were able to walk everywhere from their home. I am vegetarian and the selection of breakfast was plenty and tasted wonderful. We were fortunate to be there on Easter and partake in Vari's magnificent Easter meal. Lucky us! The room was quiet and...

Its been a year and a half since we stayed with Vari and Edo at Gourmet Bianco B&B, and i have been remiss in not providing a glowing review before this. This was one of our highlights on our Italian sojourn, and i agree with the previous reviewers about the accommodation and most especially Vari and Edo. Warm, welcoming and...

This B&B has only 2 rooms which are nicely appointed. The real draw here is Vary and Edo. Vari is the chef and makes wonderful and gourmet food and Edo does the rest! They are wonderful people who make you feel at home. We appreciated their guidance on our tours of Florence and would recommend their B&B to anyone. I...

One of our best 'meals out' was eating in Chef Vary's home. We were met just outside their B&B, taken in and treated like old friends. Chef Vary and her Partner Eduardo we're welcoming and produced an outstanding meal for flavour and quality. Each course was introduced and described beautifully. The wine on offer was of excellent quality, being given...

Where to begin...from the moment we were greeted at the door we were treated like family. Edo and Vary sat down with us and gave us a brief overview of Florence. We spent the afternoon in Vary's kitchen learning to make ravioli, chicken cacciatore and tirimisu. For me it was a dream come true! After the class we moved into...

Giglio Bianci is not just a B&B. It is a precious gourmet experience! We booked a reservation for dinner while in Firenze and it was truly a highlight of our trip. We all felt quite at home while owners Vary and Edo serve one delectable course after another. It should be on everyone's bucket list. Bravo!

My husband and I spent one night here while visiting Florence. The hosts were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Also, we had a wonderful dinner there that was cooked by the owners. I highly recommend staying and eating here while visiting Florence!

“There are only two rooms at this Bed and Breakfast. Both are the same size with the same view... one is green and one is red. The red room has a DVD player, the green room does not. The red room's bathroom is probably a little nicer and the green room's bathroom was added post construction.”
