We visited in Feb half term 2007. Stayed for 5 nights - wish it could have been longer. We arrived by train from Pisa and asked the taxi driver for the Hotel Michealangelo and wasted 10 Euros being taken to the wrong place - the Starhotel Michaelangelo( I think) so just make sure you have the correct address in writing...

Myself and my boyfriend, (couple late 20's) stayed in this accomodation in late February. We arrived very late, 1:00am and Angela welcomed us with a bright and enthusiastic welcome. The room was fabulous and created a real period setting. There was a stand alone bath with a shower hose attached however this was not ideal for boys who "don't do...

We have just returned from one week at this Residence, and it was wonderful. Our arrival was not great - we had flown for many hours to Milan, then a train down to Florence - we were exhausted - and the young woman who runs the hotel immediately had me sign up for full payment on my credit card before...

My wife and I stayed at Residence Michelangiolo for 4 nights in the last week of October. We had just driven down from London with one stop to deliver things for our daughter who is studying art nearby. The parking was very convenient and safe, and enabled us to do day trips. The walk to the Ponte Vecchio is 10...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Residence Michelangiolo in Florence Italy. We wish it could have been longer. Our host and hostess, the owners, were wonderful.. We were 4 adults and we booked a superior apartment. This consisted of 2 separate rooms, each with its own bathrrom. There was also a tiny kitchen. The rooms we very clean and...

I highly recommend Residence Michelangiolo to anyone travelling to Florence, Italy. There is not a thing I would change about the place. The rooms are beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and completely stocked with fabulous coffee, cold drinks, pastries (yum!). Residence Michelangiolo is conveniently located within walking distance to everything worth seeing, yet it has a feel of being in the...

Our daughter studying art history of the Renaissance, we recently spend three days in Florence. I first contacted a hotel I had read about in a Hotels of Charm paperback... full up, but they recommended the Residence Michelangiolo--perhaps recently opened--closeby. Our stay at the Residence Michelangiolo was a delight for everyone. In an elegant turn of the century mansion, our...

A gem of a place to stay in Florence. It's about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town (Ponte Vecchio, etc) but the bus (very regular) takes you there in 2 minutes. I found the location great : easy to walk into the centre but just far enoughtto be away from the bustle of florence crowds. Very nice...
