I organized a trip to France and Tuscany in a group of 12 friends. The accommodation in Florence was critical as we used it as a staging point to other areas by train. What you see in the Firenze Lofts website is what you get. When you see the rooms, intercom system and keyed security, you will have a feeling...

We would definitely return to Firenze Loft. This place was quite, clean and comfortable. It had a very up to date kitchen and bath room. Tommaso helped move our luggage up stairs, answered all of our questions and recommended two of the best restaurants we enjoyed the entire month of travel in Italy. One was Buca Mario and the other...

Nice, spacious place. You have only to think about extra 1 euro per hour from 8am till 8pm for parking right behind the corner if you travel by car.

We (all 10 of us!) had a great time in Florence, and staying at the Firenze Lofts was just the right way to visit the city. Thanks Tommaso, for your tasteful and comfortable places. My only regret was that it was too short a stay! We are already trying to think about when we can come back... Gerry

The first impression was its cleanliness. We know quite well about Firenze, but it's very difficult to find theone with this level. Stylish apartment gave us an extra tip during the stay. The location is convenient to stay in City center, and to go out to the country side by driving car. This loft is highly recommended!!! We will come...

I spent a week in Florence at the Firenze Loft. It was the best choice, not far from the center, near the maria novella station and near all the touristic locations. I did not spend a lot of time at the loft, but for as long I was there, I felt comfortable, safe and welcomed. Tommaso is a wonderful landlord,...

We stayed in Firenze Loft (www.firenzeloft.com) last month (Jan 2009) with my girlfriend. It was only 7 minutes to the main train station and 15 minutes to the town center with easy walking. There were parking spaces behind the building and a market just across the street. The apartment was super clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and the...

I stayed with two friends at the Firenze Loft in early September and we thought it was beautiful. We took some photos but unfortunately they didn't turn out. We stayed in Loft 2. Two of us shared a large bed and one of us stayed on the couch. Everything was new and modern. The loft was very convenient to the...

We booked our trip over the internet and were told that we could pay with a credit card. We arrived and had to pay cash resulting in and extremely expensive money exchange process (13% in Italy!). The room was not available for 2 hours after check in time. We stayed for 7 nights and there was no cleaning during the...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
