Nice, small hotel in the very center of Florence. Rooms were big, clean and air conditioned. There was an amazing view to Duomo from terrace. The staff was very nice. We would certainly visit Residenza Giotto again.

This fantastic bed and breakfast is closer to the Duomo and other magificent attractions in Florence than the 5 star hotel down the road. Giorgio and Sylvia were welcoming and very good in making bookings on our behalf and recommending restaurants and places to go. The rooms are large, air conditioned and there is also the option of having breakfast...

Silvia and Giorgio were very warm and welcoming hosts who were eager to help with directions and recommendations for sights and restaurants. The room was much larger than I expected wth high ceilings and wonderful air conditioning, very comfortable. Although it was very hot, each moring we had our breakfast on the forth floor terrace overlooking the rooftops of Florence...

Friendly and welcoming service, with a perfect central location. The proprietors were very accommodating and helpful at both ends or our stay, happy to receive us even though we were due to arrive after the front desk was scheduled to close (we kept them informed of our arrival time). Cozy communal balcony offers wonderful view of Duomo. Small, clean rooms...

We absolutely loved the hotel. we stayed in id June 2010 and the weather was perfect. It was on the 4th floor above Gucci literally right next to the Duomo Piazza. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, TV good, great decor, wonderful breakfast served by Giogio who spoke perfect English and was a marvelous host. EXCELLENT air conditioning by...

Residenza Giotto came very highly recommended to my wife and I, and as soon as we arrived for our 2nd anniversary trip to Florence, it was obvious why. Giorgio & Silvia run a first-class operation with their helpful tips, warm smiles and engaging personalities... they made us feel right at home. Giorgio not only showed us our meticulously cleaned room,...

My friend and I stayed at the Residenza Giotto for 1 night while traveling from Zurich to Rome. We LOVED Florence and this hotel made our stay in Florence very comfortable. I first e-mailed the hotel to request direction from the train station and I heard back from Silvia right away! Once we arrived at the hotel both Silvia and...

Giorgio and Silvia were wonderful to us. The answered questions we are sure they have been asked many times before with humor and detail. They offered great suggestions for day trips and sites and we felt at home after getting acclimated to the location, which to say the least is fabulous. Breakfast was modest but the rooms are clean and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
