The hotel is down a side street parallel to the station, nice and quiet but close to everything. We stayed for 6 nights The reception is on the first floor and rooms on 1st and 2nd floors. Some have ensuite bathrooms (ours was no 26 and had a lovely view over the garden) Lovely Terrace, lovely to be able to...

Friendly staff and reasonable rooms, but this is honestly more of a hostel than a hotel. The owners spoke English well enough, and they were very helpful with any questions I had. There is a supermarket a few blocks away, as well as lots of local charm. Unfortunately, the "Hotel" is a good 20-minute walk to the downtown core. I...

Dear Steve L, I think there is something wrong in your review: - pictures that you have posted are not of our property - hotel monica is located in the historic center - hotel monica is a 2 stars hotel not an hostel Best regards Leonardo

We stayed at the Monica Hotel for three nights. The location of the hotel is perfect. Its in a narrow and quite street, which means at night you have no problem to sleep, at the same time, you walk a few minutes, and there you are in the middle of the action, tones of restaurants, stores, Santa Maria Novella train station,...

The terrace is awesome and the staff is great (Domenico and Elton) so it pains me to say this is not the best hotel in the area. Reception is one flight up and our room another flight up - no lift. Room is big and AC was on during our stay in hot July, but we were never quite cool....

The hotel is very close to the train station (5minute walk) and it is situated in a great street full of small restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy your meal. The building is old, ofcourse, as most in the buildings in the centre. The staff is very polite and there is always someone in teh reception 24/7. The rooms...

The Hotel Monica is a well run nice place. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are large enough and clean. It is located central enough and good resturaunts are close. With a breakfast included, you could not ask for more on a budget.

Never expected to be cold in a hotel room. No heat until 6pm and then just lukewarm. For the price 75e, I expected at least a warm room. If you are hot blooded, you may like it... Room Is near the train station which is nice. Entrance is up a flight, so be prepared to carry your luggage!

Located just minutes away from the magical basilica of Santa Maria Novella and the railway station the Hotel Monica is in a prime place to suit the tourist short on time and funds. It is modest in facilities but lavish in charm with spacious rooms, an internal courtyard and terrace with views onto old time Florentine houses with terracotta tiles...

Me and my friend stayed here for two nights in a row. The rooms are quite tiny and unfortunately in our case the airconditoner didn't work. We got a room with a balcony, however, a generator was also next too the door and made noises regularly all night. The bathroom was shared but clean. The breakfast was simple but tasty....
