Great location, great service. Very quaint little place. Staff very, very helpful and excited that you came. Bathroom was spacious, everything was clean and in good order. Rooftop terrace a bonus! This is the kind of place that draws excited travelers who love to chat about their travels and share tips over breakfast. Just a wonderful little gem.

The building was built around 1500 and has lots of charm. Rooms are basic but provide all we need for a comfortable stay. You can sit in the common area or venture up to the rooftop terrace. You will need to be able to climb lots of stairs to reach your room (no elevator). Central location puts it close to...

A lovely B&B in Florence. The best location for seeing everything but still quiet as you are on the top floor. The building is full of character, the ceilings are amazing and there is a pretty roof terrace with views over the rooftops of Florence. Gabriella is a great host and its nice to chat to other guests over breakfast....

My husband and I spent 2 nights in a room near livingroom space. We absolutely loved our stay. It was located in the safe, clean area, and pretty close to everything (main tourist attractions, shopping area, vecchio bridge) the staff was really helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was lovely and we were able to get tea or coffee anytime we...

My husband John and I were in Il Bargello Bed & Breakfast five days. We arrived before noon and Suzanne welcomed us, offered us coffee and showed us around and to our bedroom totally ready. In a friendly manner and perfect English, told us about the B&B services and asked us to feel very much at home. Her knowledge of...

I had my mother stay here for three nights. The late check in went very well with the instructions given. She felt at home and Suzanne was the best. This was a very comfortable place to stay and my mother is looking to return in the near future.

We arrived late and the instructions left by Gabriella were precise and helpful. Our room was a basic double, a little bit chilly but it's an old building and the windows are not double glazed. And we had extra blankets! Breakfast, and meeting Gabriella, was delightful. She was most helpful and very informative. Florence is a beautiful city. Enjoyed beat...

We really enjoyed staying at Bed and Breakfast Il Bargello this last September. Their suggestions on places to visit and directions were helpful. The reception was warm, the room was quiet, and the provisions for self service breakfast were good. We also enjoyed the view from their roof top. The restaurant recommendation (Coquinarios) was excellent (especially the pear and pecorino...

We stayed two nights at Il Bargello B&B. The location in Florence is ideal for walking to all the sights you want to see and finding great restaurants. Gabriel was a fantastic host, providing information on Florence news and suggesting sites to visit and restaurants to try. Our room was fine for the short time we were there sleeping and...

We spent 4 nights here prior to transferring to Volterra for a hiking trip organized by Sherpa Expeditions. This B&B has a great location next to the Bargello museum with an easy to moderate walk to just about anything of interest. The B&B is located up 3 flights of stairs, 77 steps in total, so this place is only suitable...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
