We will remember the Hotel Accademia for its central location to the main sights in Florence... AND for the 1 earplug-free night of sleep we got there during a 17-day Rick Steve's 'Best of Italy' tour in May... and the other in which, despite earplugs,...More
Spent one night here on my way to San Gimignano for a wedding. Wanted something economical but nice. There are many choices in Florence but this gamble was worth it..

We had a great stay at Hotel Accademia, we were greeted by the lovely receptionist who ran downstairs to carry our bags, and made us coffee at the bar after our long detour to get to Florence . No lift and quite a few stairs,...More
Clean hotel, but very outdated. The furniture was scratched, the bed was not comfortable at all.
The reception is at the second floor of the hotel and there is no elevator, so, if you have heavy luggage, there isn't quite easy to reach there.
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
