A friend and I stayed at Cimatori B & B for 4 nights in October, 2007, and it was just wonderful. It was the best place we stayed during our trip. What a delightful place...so welcoming and comfortable. Domenico and Vallidia (sorry if I destroyed her name) were so sweet and accomodating. They couldn't have been any nicer. The room...

My husband and 2 sons stayed at the Cimatori for 2 nights and everyone loved it! Domenico and Valeria were perfect hosts. When we got lost driving to it, they were very helpful with instructions on how to get to the parking garage. As a matter of fact, Domenico, the owner, drove with my husband to the garage so he...

Couldnt get a better location. Rooms are of a good size and very clean! Good breakfast and extremely friendly hosts. If returning to Florence, this B&B would be my first choice, I highly recommend a visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Cimatori June 24 through 27 and we were very pleased with our choice. The location is in the middle of the city and we were able to walk to all the major attractions within 5 mins. The location was easy to find and was within walking distance of the train station. We appreciated the...

One of the things Cimatori B&B has going for it is its excellent location! It's 5 minutes to to Piazza Republica , 6-8 to Uffizi and 5 minutes to Il Duomo . The apartment is very well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The rooms are a good size and the high ceilings help make for an airy feel. Valerie was very helpful....

October 5th 2006 (two nights) 110 Euro / night My boyfriend and I have decided to put this into good/not so good format. We’re both fairly tall, he is 6ft and I’m 5.8” and we’re both 29 years old. Good: -Valerie is a great host. She is not the owner but is a great lady, and a wonderful touch of...

Domenico was very nice and also very helpful, the location was fabulous and there was a very good restaurant right out the front door of the B&B. The room for European standards was fine it seemed a little small for four adults. The washroom was small. It was very clean. Did not notice any noise from outside but we also...

Great B&B beautifully restored and updated on the second floor of a historic building - just doors away from Dante's home. Our room overlooked a lovely little square with a nice restaurant. The people watching was great. Convenient to everything but not in the hubbub of the most touristy spots. We loved it.

The location can't be beat. right in the heart of the historic district. Mostly it was the owner that made us feel most at home. He chatted with us and answered all of our little questions, recommended a couple nice restaurants, and all in all made us feel more comfortable for our short 2 day stay in this lovely city....

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the B & B Cimatori as part of a whirlwind tour of Italy and we loved it there. We would definitely there again! Dominico is an excellent host and makes a great cup of coffee, espresso, etc. We had juice, fresh rolls and croissants, cereal, and a few packaged breads. We were...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
