Hotel Canada is a great little pension located just a block from the Duomo. Spotless rooms, wonderful staff, great location, very reasonable prices....need I say more? The only downsides are that you need to climb two long flights of steps (no elevator) and they don't accept credit cards. Be sure to book through one of these booking sites.....Hotel Canada staff...

Location: When we picked this hotel it seemed a great option because of the placement. And it really is: it has a 2 minute walking to the Duomo, and another 2 minute walking to St. Lorenzo's library. Even considering that nothing in Florence is too far away, it was excellent because we only walked with our suitcases from the train...

In terms of location, this was probably our best hotel in Italy. It was right smack in the center of everything. We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel but after spending a night, it was pretty easy to locate. When we got tired from exploring, we were able to head back to the hotel to rest, then go...

Room was big, spotless and pretty. Manager was very stressy and had lots of rules (keys, curfew, toilets etc). It made us a bit uncomfortable, but luckily we were planning on coming back to the room by midnight anyway. The location is AMAZING and totally made up for it. Overall, I'd stay again given the price, but I'd be irritated...

We stayed at Pansione Canada for 2 nights in October. We were first impressed by 3 main things: 1. location location location - just amazing, write at the Duomo. 2. service - Tina was very friendly and helpful, provided us maps and info and walked us to the room. 3. cleanliness - it looks like the rooms were recently renovated,...

We stayed here for two nights, the room was clean and the central location was great but other than that we had no wifi no balcony or terrace, a shared toilet (which is across the reception) wasn't great as the shared shower was also in there so if you needed the toilet and someone was showering well your a bit...

We booked this "hotel" last minute for two nights through Venere.it and we got an email confirmation. We took a train from Rome to Florence and walked to the "hotel." There we rang the doorbell and barely made it one flight of stairs when the woman who owns this establishment yells down the stairs, asking who I am. When I...

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the station and about two minutes from the Cathedral. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom and had its own key, so you have to be dressed to get to it, which could be inconvenient. It did not have wifi (a visitor had broken the...

“Some rooms have private bathrooms, some are shared (the shared ones at least have a sink though). We were on the side facing the street and it was quite noisy, not sure about noise levels in other rooms. Up 3 flights of stairs, so make sure you have good knees (I didn't see an elevator - don't think there was one)”
