Within walking distance of the railway station, this little hotel is friendly, welcoming, comfortable and well maintained. Florence is for walking; and this place gives easy access (through the street markets) to the very centre of the city and all its attractions. The weather was 'unpredictable', but the hotel staff let us an umbrella which proved its worth one hundred...

Under 10 minutes stroll from Santa Maria Novella station and closer still to Basilica di San Lorenzo and the Mercato Centrale the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria are only a little further on. The management and staff here are helpful and obliging we enjoyed our stay

We had a very average stay here. The room smelled horrible. It had a very distinct sewage odor that was so awful, we found a grocery store and purchased a couple of air freshener a. The bathroom was clean. The beds were fairly comfy. The free breakfast was also very average. There was a decent selection of items to eat.

It is close from train station, and about 15 minutes by walk for city center. Wifi is good, breakfast as well. Room is really clean, but the bed is not so good. Really nice staff. Not modern decoration.

Positives: Location Breakfast variety is pretty good Negatives: Double bed is two singles pushed together which isn't conformable The shower is so small and just drips on you - terrible No duvet - just a smelly throw.

A nice hotel overall. Friendly staff, good continental breakfast (a selection of cereals, yoghurt, pastry, fresh fruit). Free coffee is poured from a dispenser, but it is possible to order a cup made by coffee machine. Breakfast is served in a lobby, but there are three tables set on a terrace overlooking a small back garden - a really nice...

What a delightful experience to stay at Hotel Caravaggio! The team really know how to welcome guests and made staying there an absolute pleasure, by far the best stay of our entire 'Italian tour'. Rooms were spacious, modern and tastefully decorated. Courtyard very pretty and peaceful. Huge thanks to Guiseppe for keeping us entertained, my only complaint is that we...

Nice stay - spent 3 nights here and probably one of the better places we have stayed at so far on our Italian trip. Breakfast served daily was fantastic coffee, juices, fruits, cereals, pastries and croissants. The lady at the front desk was so lovely at checkin she greeted us and provided us with a map of the area and...

Stayed for 6 nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were lovely and everyone who works breakfast was so kind and super accommodating. The coffee that they were serving in the self-service buffet was not good and every morning they were happy to make me an espresso drink (or two) when asked for it. Very lovely people working the...
