My partner and I have stayed in hotel Lorena for ten days in March, and we had a lovely time. We stayed in room 31 (with window looking out into a tiny inner yard - actually this is good, because it's quieter, considering the bells of Medici chapel and Duomo ringing loudly), and it was all we could hope for... This hotel was a great value for the location. Florence is so easy to travel by foot, but it was nice staying somewhere so central. The staff was a bit uptight at times, but still very accommodating. If you plan on going out, the hotel has a 2 AM curfew. They weren't happy with us coming back past then. The... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, if you are arriving and departing from Firenze train station. Just about 5 minutes walking distance from the station, the hotel is bang on in the central area and Florence, being a small city, its very easy to explore on foot. We had booked a room with a shared bathroom but they offered... More

Hotel Lorena is perfect if you want to stay in central Florence, pretty close to the train station and the center. Could see the Duomo from our room. The man at reception was fantastic, absolutely brilliant customer service, couldnt speak more highly of him. Gave us great instructions and advice. We didnt eat breakfast (for an extra 5euros). We stayed there for a night recently while traveling in Italy. The location of the hotel is great and it is easy to find from the train station. The rooms were satisfactory and the price was fair. If they would change owners or staff it would be WAY better. We arrived and a younger girl was working behind the desk.... More

Hello The girl at desk is writing I honestly did not seem to have received you so cold since I have also booked two museums, with the risk of not finding availability. I'd be curious to know just how many other two-star hotel will have made that service. I asked you to kindly remind to close the air-conditioning, not my... More

I was disappointed that due to a glitch I was not able to stay in Lorena. But the person at the counter was ready with information about the mix up and had already made alternate arrangements. It was not the best of rooms but I like the fact that Lorena took care of it. Appreciate the gesture!

Great location, within walking distance to the famous duomo. I can even see it from my room window. Hotel is a little bit old, but very clean. Very friendly & helpful staff. My husband and I just returned from an anniversary trip to hotel. Of all the hotels we stayed at while we were there, Lorena was our favorite. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
