We totally enjoyed our stay at il Bargellino. It was a wonderful relaxing place to stay. Our room opened to the beautiful terrace where we enjoyed bringing wine and light meals from the deli. Our two girls in their mid 20's thought it was wonderful...More
We stayed in early March while visiting our daughter during her semester abroad. The hotel was centrally located, easy walking distance to most everything, affordable and Carmel and Pino were extremely hospitable and helpful.
The location of the hotel is 5 minutes from the train station(santa maria novella) and 10 minutes(walking) from most turists sites such as the David, IL Duomo, the Uffizzi Gallery, etc. it is located on a relatively quiet street, via Guelfa. The rooms are immaculate,...More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

We have one flight of 20 steps with no elevator. Please let me know (by e-mail to the hotel if possible), your dates and I will check availability of a room on the ground floor.
Thank you, Carmel Coppola
