Great restaurant on Piazza della Signoria in Florence. We stopped for lunch here and we each had pasta. One with a creamy mushroom truffle sauce and the other with tomato and cream. The staff were attentive and helpful.

We spent two nights here to start our Italian vacation. I booked many months ahead and had excellent email communication with Carmel. We loved having a room adjacent to the terrace, and although it was very hot when we were there, did not feel the need for AC. The fan provided a cooling breeze and I loved being able to...

I stayed here with my teenage son for three nights in April 2016. At first I wanted a room with a private bathroom but none was available. Carmel let me know a room with shared bath was available so I took it and I am very glad I did. One of the highlights of our Italian trip was staying in...

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. Carmel was quick to respond by email and made it very easy to book directly. The hotel has rustic Italian charm and an amazing terrace. We eat breakfast on the terrace every morning and even had some wine with Carmel our first night there. We had room 10 which...

Staff and owner are really helpful. The place is walking distance from the train station and from all the tourist spots. The room has its own shower and lavatory in the room but shared toilet. * I hope Trip advisor would allow short reviews. It is difficult to type reviews:)

If you love a reasonable, immaculate, charming room, terrific hospitality, and a beautiful patio romantically overlooking the rooftops of Florence, this is the place for you. A friend recommended it, and I am so glad she did. Carmel and her husband provide a personal touch that makes this place extra special. They also provide any and all information and recommendations...

When you stay at Il Bargellino, it's as if you're staying with family. Carmel and Pino are wonderful innkeepers - they will do everything to make your stay pleasurable. When we had to suddenly change our room for 3 to 4 for one night. we were accommodated. And when we had to deal with reservations, Carmel and Pino were more...

Great location, affordable, clean, with helpful staff. I stayed in room 9, which opened onto a pretty patio/balcony area. I am comfortably sitting on the patio, sipping Italian wine, as I write this review. The room does not have a television, if that is important. There is free Wi-Fi which works well. A/C costs an additional 10 euros a night....

We stayed in il Bargellino for 3 nights in May. As it is mentioned in a lots of other reviews, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is located in a very convenient location; very close to train station (12 minutes walk) and also close to almost all the attractions. However our room which was facing Guelfa...

This is my second time here. I adore the communal rooftop terrace. Great for a drink, snacks, or just a relaxing break from the hustle of Florence. Nice touch with the LaVazzo coffee machines in the rooms. Comfortable beds by Italian standards- they seem to like beds really firm here. Carmela and Pino are friendly and helpful. My only wish...
