We so enjoyed our stay in Florence - Bellevue House is very centrally located, the owners very friendly and helpful - giving us a map, with very good commentary, of key locations and restaurants nearby. Our room was big, comfortable and had all the right stuff. We really enjoyed our stay here! and if we are fortunate to come back...

Pros: super nice staff; location; nice and welcoming. Cons: steps up (only an issue if you have low mobility, because owners will gladly help you up with your luggage); no breakfast. Conveniently located in a short-walk distance from the bus and train station, 8-minute walk to the Duomo, in front of a self-service laundry place and 3 minutes from a...

After reading the reviews I couldn't feel any better about booking here at Bellevue House. It was my first time to Italy and I was traveling solo so I couldn't have landed at a better place. I was greeted w/ warmth & felt at home immediately. They helped me book all my day trips & recommended local favorites. They were...

First time to Florence for us and so glad we found this B&B so centrally located and close to the train station. But the best part about it was the lovely helpful family who are the proud owners of the newly renovated Palazzo Riblet/Bellevue Hotel. Our spacious and comfortable room came with complimentary wine, bottled water, croissants and muffins. Nice...

This is an Excellent location to tour Florence. After 16 days in Italy, it was great to get to a hotel where we could rest and relax. These are knowledgeable owners who provide personal service. Top notch accommodations--loved our stay!! Thank you.

Skvělé ubytování nedaleko centra Florencie. Velmi milý a ochotný personál. Pokoje prostorné, světlé, ve starosvětském stylu, avšak perfektně udržované a čisté! Really happy to be here, wonderful place! Thank you.

I stayed here for one night after accidentally short-booking my accommodation. The location was highly convenient - close to the main train station in Florence - and the room was very spacious which was useful as we had plenty of space for our suitcases. It was also spotlessly clean and the manager was very friendly and helpful. He helped us...

My wife and I stopped in Florence for a couple of days and stayed in Palazzo Riblet/Bellevue House. The hotel is situated very close to the train station and easily walkable even with luggage. We had 2 rolling suitcases and we were easily able to drag them to the hotel. We were accommodated in the newly renovated suite of Elisa...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
