If you want to stay in a hotel that will be forever cemented in your memory...this is the place! From the moment we walked thru the doors of this converted mansion, we felt like royalty. The hotel is simply breathtaking! The murals on the walls have been restored and the furnishings were so elegant. I felt like we had stepped...

This hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Florence, you can walk to everything. The staff is exceptionally professional, helpful and multilingual. The morning breakfast in the common room is wonderful. Chamila, head of housekeeping and kitchen, bent over backwards to make us comfortable. Our room, #10, unfortunately lacked a decent bathroom. The shower over the tub was clearly...

Firstly, this is less of a hotel and more like serviced apartments. Situated right next to the Duomo this building is an historic palazzo with high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, frescoed walls and a totally authentic feel ( because its real!). Our room (classic suite) was HUGE, with separate sitting room and large bathroom. Rooms have been modernised to...

Charming boutique hotel with wonderful breakfast. Front desk staff from proprietor to staff where helpful and very warm and engaging. The rooms are fantastic - a bit of an upgrade but Room 7 provides quite the views. Just a fabulous place.

We are getting married next year at the Hotel Niccolini. We toured it and, WHAT a WONDERFUL hotel. It is beyond cool, the frescoes, the rooms and the location could not be better. The staff is super friendly and so very helpful. This is a great place with nice soft beds, air conditioning, and fantastic bathrooms.

Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful room - an incredible view of the Duomo and a jacuzzi too! The service - both before our visit and during our stay was exceptional. We especially enjoyed the chocolate cake - both as an evening snack with tea service in their beautiful dining/sitting room as well as at breakfast!

My wife and me booked this lovely looking hotel 2-3 weeks before our arrival. We chose the basic room. Since the booking was done, the hotel staff contacted us 2-3 times to ask for our arrival time and prefers. All via email, which was very intuitive and easy to track. Once we got there, we discovered the staff decided to...

The View from the room is so nice. The room was always kept clean by the house keeper. Location is convenient for sightseeing. We recommend this hotel when visiting Firenze. But keep in mind that staffs are not in the hotel at night. Water pressure of the shower is the only weak point for me. I like the smelling of...

This was my first stay at this beautiful Palazzo and it won't be my last. Situated perfectly in the heart of Florence right beside the Duomo and walking distance to everything i planned to see. Staying in this quiet luxury, one is reminded of elegant aristocracy: rooms with high ceilings, exquisite original frescoes and furnished lovingly with antiques. The attention...

We stayed one night at the Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo during our week-long stay in Tuscany. Staying in Room 7 was spectacular, there are giant windows with views in three directions. Of course, the wonderful views of the Duomo make it look like you could reach out and touch it. The opposite view was stunning of the hills and bell...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
