This hotel is a very nice boutique hotel with cheerful and knowledgable staff. The room we had was like an apartment with separate living room, bedroom and bathroom. The continental breakfast was a nice way to begin the day (the coffee was especially delicious). But I think the best thing about this property is its location. It is about 20...

Fabulous stay in Palazzo Niccolini. Literally a stone's throw from the Duomo and a short walk from the major attractions. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. The owners and staff were all extremely welcoming and attentive to our needs. The Palazzo itself if a wonderfully restored building with roots going back to Donatello. If you're not convinced of the authenticity of...

The location is close to the Doumo and all the shops. The rooms are very oranate and each one different. Florence was a beautiful place to visit and th hotel compliments it too. Breakfast is continental but plenty of it.

if you wish to get a sense of the art, aesthetic and sensibility of noble Florence, go no further. Some of the actual original priceless antiques are in the suites. From the historic frescoes on the ceiling, original mouldings on the walls, paintings, to the carpets on the floor, i literally felt i should 'dress' before entering the Salon. i...

We stayed here on our honeymoon in the largest suite. The Palazzo is quiet, clean, spacious and tranquil. It is owned and run by the noble Niccolini family. We were recommended the hotel by an Italian friend who lives in Rome and knows the family. The staff is incredibly helpful with everything including museums, restaurant reservations and car and driver...

This is not just a hotel that could be in any European city, but the home of an old Florentine family that gives the visitor a glimpse of the elegant life that exists in this wonderful city. We stayed in the Empire Suite during Florence's Pitti Uomo (men's fashion week). The palazzo is directly across from Al Duomo and our...

We stayed at this hotel in January 2014 and I would go there every time I went to Florence. The room we stayed in was huge (a massive ornate double and another single for our daughter). The walls were covered in frescoes, the bathroom was lovely and the view out the window was the Duomo less than 100 ms away....

Palazzo Niccolini is a palace (it is). We stayed in suite with frescos and I think it was the best accommodation we ever had. Originally I did not look at the place because of the prices, but we traveled in late November and that made prices reasonable. Defiantly go for it if you can afford, it worth every penny.

We thank you very much for your kind words! But we are really sorry that you couldn't benefit of our teas, herbal teas, coffe, chocolate, sweets and pastries that we leave every night in our sitting room, at guests' disposa! During the day, on the contrary, you could order in any moment, whatever you wanted, at the desk. We probably...

I stayed there last week while visiting Florence. This was our favorite hotel in Italy. The staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating. The rooms were clean & quiet. The bathrooms were spacious. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
